that’s quite nice. I have a small collection of Rx7 Hot Wheels. Was pretty happy to find that they made a black FC that looks a lot like mine (of course the Hotwheels one is a turbo)
saw that ad a few days ago. one of them is already gone. he never replied but i'm guessing the one with the dented roof and fender is the only one left.
Hello everyone I would like to introduce myself
my name is Jacob and I’m 18 and live in the north Georgia area. And I have a 1985 Mazda Rx-7 Gs 12a .And it has low compression on the rear rotor and needs to be rebuilt. I personally am pretty new to the rotary community and don’t know how to rebuild one myself or know of any shops in the north Georgia area. I have about 7k in savings, but I don’t know, where and how to use it for what I want. I would like to have a rebuilt 12A possibly street ported as well. But I don’t know where to go about starting.
thank you Brett I’m on the county line of Dahlonega and Dawsonville
What a coincidence,. I'm over by AMP.
Maybe someone else will chime in with some other local rebuilders. Mazcare is another place that comes to mind, in Marietta I think. I remember Three Face Racing near Covington used to do them, not sure if they're still around. If I think of any more I'll post them.
Will your car still run with the low compression? If you aren't 100% certain that's the culprit and want to try a rotary compression tester, I have one.
my fault for replying so late but it takes a good bit and touching up the carb and some other stuff but sometimes it will idle. But 9 times out of 10 I would have to be on the gas to keep it alive. I compression tested it with a piston compression tester ( I know that there not the most accurate ) but it came out to be like 60 psi in the front rotor and like 90 in the rear rotor. And that's a rough estimate. But my end goal is just having a 12a rotary or even a rotary that is a streetable streetport rotary I can take up blood mountain and just cruise and have just a little more pep than factory. Like I said I have about 6-7k in saving for this and just don't know where to go about starting this.
