Old guys with 12As club meeting
2.3l engine????? That engine cost more than my whole car.
Yeah, I finished... then drove it to Saint Louis and back.
Man what a turnout!!! I can't seem to figure out my RX7. I have a new Master cylinder, slave cylinder, piolet bearing, clutch fork, pivot ball and about 5000 miles on the clutch.... But I can't seem to get the engine to disengage from the transmission.

James, check that pilot bearing again. Make sure its not been goobered when you last stabbed the transmission back in there. Its the only thing I can thing of that can keep the engine engaged to the transmission.
BTW, your ghia looks fantastic. Where in St. Louis? I'm from there.

I think I'm on to something.... Are there two different types of master cylinders for S3 RX7s? I am going to try a third different master cylinder here soon, but I noticed when ordering that there are two different Exedy part numbers.
Exedy part number 1 is : MC207
The MC207 doesn't have the little adaptor thing on the output side. That is what I have been using because that's what is listed for my car. It is listed for use in all 1984 & 1985 RX7s
Exedy part number 2 is : MC210
The MC210 has the little brass looking adaptor thing on the output. This looks like what I've always used on my car. But Exedy lists this part for use on RX7's made from 1984 through 1990??? FBs and FCs??? and such an odd stop in the middle of the FB run and in the middle of the FC run???
Oh well. I've beaten my head against the wall for long enough now on this issue. If the MC210 doesn't solve the issue. I am going to buy a new clutch and pp.
Oh, we just incidentally hit St. Louis. There was no plan; my wife and I just tossed the tent in the car and headed north and west. Then packed up and spent some time in the TN mountains.

Qingdao is fine. Other than Ray, I don't know anybody's name here. I just know black GSLSE guy (that's you). Or Silver SA with a painted on bra, etc.
Shoot most of the names in my phone are just cars.

Me: "hey 94 Jeep Cherokee its been a while"
Meanwhile my other VW (aka the performance Volkswagen PVW) pooped its engine out.

So there are 3 different types of clutch master cylinder's for S3 RX7s???
As by exedy's numbers there is a MC476, a MC210, and a MC207. I'm going to loose my mind on this car.

Clutch master should be the same for all FB's except maybe SE's.
Excedy MC207 should do the trick for an 84 GS:

One would think that. Thats the second master cylinder I tried. First one was a local brand that looked like the MC207. The one that came off my car has that little adaptor looking thing llike the MC210 and the MC476. The MC210 has a diagonal stud pattern (FC thing maybe??) I can tell you for 100% certainty that the MC210 will not fit a GSLSE from 85 or a GS from 84 or an S from 78.
I hate to pop your Bubbles Mike, but the color actually is V3 Baby Blue Metallic.
The original Japanese name for the color is:
赤ん坊(akanbou; Baby)
空色(sora-iro; Blue)
金属の (kinzoku; Metallic).
But when the American Mazda dealers imported the '85 FB's they butchered the translation.
So a lot of Americans refer to the color, incorrectly, as Tender Blue Metallic.

You are right, He really treats it like crap, Have you seen those awful seats he stuffed into it? The ultimate humiliation for a car that deserve better, I say.
So when you translate "Baby Blue Metallic" to the proper Alabama lingo it becomes " Baby Sh-- Blue". And that will henceforth become my name for the color for Mike's car.
Much easier to remember than that sissy sounding "Tender Heart Blue" color!!
