Man, I wish I bought those photos from ZoomFest...

Here is the only one I have of the silver one on my phone. Nothing of the 79LE, maybe on the old phone lol

You gotta stop believing those lies brother.... That is pure silly. Nobody believes that!

Trump "We're going to take the firearms first and then go to court"

Trump supports red flag laws.... So the idea is to take the guns that the police knows about, from the guy who is upset. Then the guy can dig up his hidden guns now that he's REALLY upset with the government. Not a great plan.

Trump also did the unconstitutional bump stock ban.

I'm playing the devil's advocate here.
No candidate is flawless, but CLEARLY one side is more aggressive on the civilian disarmament campaign.

Was that the car with a MazdaSpeed sticker on the hatch glass? I remember that from the meet at Ray's house back in 2008? I think.

New rotary addition!

I picked up an old FB race car over the weekend. I initially thought I could use it's drivetrain in Frankenrex. But the more I look at it, it's a super solid car and might be the better chassis to build... Gonna try to get the 12A running then figure out a plan.

It has most everything intact under the hood, sans a radiator, which I have courtesy of Ray. The wiring harness was chopped off inside the car. Could I rig up 12v to the coils and try to get it to fire off starting fluid?

It has a RB header then a 3" exhaust and a small muffler. I bet it was loud!

This car also has intact A pillar trim, parts I was dreading to source!

The current state of Frankenrex. There is some concerning rust around the sunroof drain tray that made me rethink if this shell was the best choice. Has minor rust poking through in a few other places too. Also putting an interior in the red car and swapping around a few body panels sounds like an easier route to take than tackling the white one. We shall see.

Looking good Brett. Looks like Frankenrex will live again, most appropriately as a collection of parts from different FBs.

Should be scary.

Even though I'm not in the region, I will stick my nose in here as it is you Brett. That cage will save you a lot of time and headaches. I know as I am struggling to get mine installed. It sounds like a good plan to me ... for what that's worth.

I'd offer my duely setup but I see you got the rear tire issue covered.

Thanks Kevin! I couldn't imagine getting that cage in... Best of luck on your build, hope to see some more progress soon.

haha that I do! Those wheels were off a widebody FB, with the coilovers raised all the way up I have about 1/2" of fender clearance in the rear! I look for 4x114.3 wheels from time to time but haven't found any local deals yet.

Hey guys. The DGRR website is kind of spartan and says it’s getting some refreshes or something. Only lets you register.

I’m thinking of going and was wondering if there is like a recommended hotel, or if the OGTA crew goes in on a big air BNB or anything for this? Trying to coordinate the cost, travel, how many days I’d be going, aspects of the trip. I’m happy to just google nearby hotels but figured I’d ask the people I trust most in the community who have been before.

Any hotel is fine. I like the one in Bryson City right next to the river (can't recall the name). Local guy owns it. I hope to be there too; in a rotary powered machine WITH AN FB RADIATOR!!

Stonebrook Lodge is the host hotel, it's the closest one to the river that I know of.

This place has some cool 1-2 bed rentals that are right in town, within walking distance to the host hotel and restaurants: https://www.stonewoodcabins.com/brys...cabin-rentals/

Its getting done... bit by bit. Just added paint; so all those parts on the front there are "final install". I won't have to remove them and do cuts and then put them back in. So happy about that.

I finished up the fuel and rear brake lines. So all I have left is coolant lines to make in the rear and wiring.

Ray: thats the boxster I'm cramming the 13B into.
