Might be a real quick trip. Was trying to sell my brand new Camo Beretta 3901 12ga so tried to get some 7 parts going too. The gun buyer backed out when I asked him if he was legally allowed to own a fire arm, so now its back up for sale.

I have something that may be mildly interesting to you dudes. A friend of a friend was selling his 1968 Mustang, and after some haggling and me agreeing to do some work on his other car, I'm now the owner of it:

It is in nice shape considering it's twice as old as me. The body doesn't have much rust, the worst spot being about a 2"x4" bad section in front of the passenger rear wheel. The seller said it had a bad transmission and the engine wouldn't start because it had been sitting. I had it running just fine with a new battery and some starting fluid, and as far as I can tell, the transmission shifts fine...

I'm going to pull the engine sometime soon to replace all of the freeze plugs (one leaks pretty bad), clean up the engine bay (it was restored sometime in the last decade or two) and clean up the wiring. After that, a little bit of body work, then I'll be re-selling it. I plan to put the proceeds towards an FD. :-)

Nice score Brett. Is that a 289 or is it a 200 I6? I've got a 65 very similar to that with the 200. Fun car but can't corner very well

Yeah, Brett, nice score. The best part is the plan to leverage it into rotary. I still have the highest hope for you out of all my children.

Thanks Tommy. It was originally a 200 V6 car, sunlit gold paint with a tan interior. It now has a 302 V8 from a '77 Mustang, flaky red paint, and a black interior. It has surprised me- once the engine is warm, it starts up faster than my BMW or my wife's Edge. And since I can barely maneuver the lead sled around my driveway, I can imaging how it would drive around Dahlonega...

That is the best part! Keep your hope in me, Mike!

That would be a straight 6 Brett. V6's weren't invented in 1968.

Nice car. Will probably drive like a pig but they look great and have big time resale value if done right.

Don't dig in too deep on Brett, those things can be real rust buckets. Shine it up, tune it up, new tires, buff out the paint, cleanup the interior and get rid of it for as much as you can get.

It actually is worth more if it was the original engine, paint and interior color. Looks like a nice
20 footer though.

I meant that, I swear. The BMW even has a straight 6

I've been contemplating it all, since I'm going at it purely to make money, I'm thinking I will just stick to rust repair and leave the car in primer. The interior needs more love and time than anything, the same story with the engine compartment. I'd have preferred it to be all original but for $1500 I really can't complain.

You can't complain Brett. But Tara can and I'll bet she's doing it big time.

You might need to sell that 'stang to me, just to get your *** out of hot water. Send me a pm.

Hey Tim. You're due for your 10 Rotor. Don't you think?

Has anyone else seen this? Ray talking about buying and old Ford? I think someone needs to give Cathy a call to check on him, he must be getting delusional... or really drunk off the goat beer

I wasn't going to tell Cathy about the Mustang Brett.

I was planning on flipping it before it got to the driveway.

Then use the proceeds to buy another FB.

She'll keep wondering how all this RX-7 stuff keeps showing up without a dent in the bank account.
