Old guys with 12As club meeting
Does anyone know anyplace locally that cleans/rebuilds injectors and has a quick turnaround? I believe mine are starting to leak on the FC- it's flooded itself three out of five times in the past 2 days and there isn't always a hill to park it on to bump start it
You could band-aid it for a bit by putting a kill switch on the fuel pump positive wire and **** the car off by turning the fuel pump off till it dies. This eliminates all the pressure sitting on the injectors while the car sits. To crank it, turn the key to get the motor spinning and then turn the pump back on via the switch.

Not sure about a local source. Witch hunter has quick turnaround, just have to ship them.

And I recently discovered that on FC's there's a relay under the dash on the drivers side that is for the fuel pump. I figured out exactly where it was last night so now when I turn the car off, I hold the revs around 2K and then unplug that relay and let the car stall out. I need to wire a switch in there but I don't want to hack on my dash just yet...
I used those witch people for the injectors in the jeep, very fast turn around and they saved me a heap of money. Only one injector wouldn't clean and they replaced it with a matching unit, all for about $100, as I recall.
Is anybody else boycotting the The National Rifle Association-sponsored NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend besides me?

Yep, I hear you Kevin.
Watching fiberglass decorated roll cages play bumper car all afternoon isn't a great use of time.
Anybody want to take a bet at least one person gets shot at the event?

Ray, you may disown me. But, I went down to Atlanta Motor Speedway, this past weekend, and rode around the track at 175 mph. Pretty cool. I learned 2 things.
1) AMS is alot smoother than I-85
2) My fuel pump makes more noise than a NASCAR.
Hope the fuel pump is all better now. The plan to fire the Blue One up tonight and see if any of the stuff I did to it works. Gotta have it all pretty by Thursday.

Ray, help this guy out on his rast nest. He has some questions on missing vacuum hoses.

The Blue One roared (purred) to life last night. Early indications are encouraging. No fuel on the garage floor, no obvious exhaust leak, no fire from the new relay, the fuel pump was whinning nicely. I think it will be a big improvement. Now to finish up wiring and installing the new Air/Fuel meter tonight. Tomorrow and Thursday morning are reserved for beautification before the DGRR.
2013 DGRR weekend was a whole lot of fun.
