Haha, yeah the color had a long story attached to it. The short version is, it started out as a junkyard resurrection. The original car color was gold but when he added some panels to it, he decided it needed a re-paint. As a birthday gift, his brother gave him a paint job... of that ugly bright purple, Hehe. After running a few seasons with it, it needed to get repainted and so he went with a more sensible Blue. The Blue was done my Maaco though, so it isn't the best (hence you can still see it in the door jambs and engine bay)

As for it being a two tone, no. Not that I know of.

finally making some progress on my FC...

got the seat in (Ian, I still don't know how you sidemounted yours... lol)

full non-abs conversion (no more crappy mazdatrix overide kit, this was a lot more work than I thought it would be...)

oil pressure and temp gauges in a respeed pedestal:

lots of heat sheilding....

plugged the rear coolant nipple... I'd like to see it leak now

I need to get it up and running before next weekend for the prosolo, it should be fun...

I don't know why you had so much trouble with your seat Mike, also if you have problems with locking up your rear brakes after you start racing, swap your proportioning vlave with one from an early Miata.

Do any of you guys have a coolant level sensor you could spar from any years 79-91? One of you has to have an extra radiator laying around with one in it.

One of mine broke, so whenever the coolant system builds pressure it leaks coolant out through the sensor.

If you want to fix the leak I believe i have one but the wire is broken on it so it doesn't function as a sensor. AKA you still get the buzzer.

the stock one just has a rubber gromet there that seals it. just shove an o-ring in there.... or did you strip it?

as for the seat, my stock rails have stuff welded to the top of them for the sliders, so I had to put a bunch of spacers in there for the side mounts to clear. by the time I did that the seats were way too high.

Feels bad man.

My sensor is broken, the top portion snapped off the threaded portion.
Theo has one from an FB I'm going to grabd and solder my S5 wire on.

Mike, I wish I could grab a few branches off of that money tree you have in your backyard! I've given up all hope for racing and decided to just drift from here on out. It's a blast, and it's the cheapest track time with the fewest rules. I've had OVER 9000 views combined for my 91' and only 1 guy has come to look at the car.

Is that a custom GC setup you ordered with the Bilsteins?

You have to move to Maryland to get a money tree

I've actually made money selling John V's old DA konis and switching to the current set up I'm making

it's going to have 3000GT front Bilsteins like Josh18_2k's setup: https://www.rx7club.com/suspension-wheels-tires-brakes-20/%5Bfc%5D-bigass-budget-baller-bilstein-build-thread-955929/

and the rear's are AWR customized Bilsteins with remote reservoirs.

Ian you can have my coolant sensor, I don't think I'll need it for a year or two.

Hi and welcome, some of us show up to the meet in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/2012-dulles-town-center-chic-fil-lowes-friday-car-meet-northern-va-992009/

I only go on the days where there are a bunch of people confirmed. It is too far of a drive for me to go sit in a parking lot by myself

Welcome to the area!
Someone normally arranges a meet quarterly. Currently, they're talking about karting in May.

Hey does anyone here know someone that has an Blue FD that has louvers on the hood and spirit R style rims?

I just saw one right near where I work in Kingstown. He either had a bad Exhaust leak between his down pipe and muffler or was burning up some oil cause it was smoking underneath. When we stopped at a stop sign I tried to shout over to him but I dunno what he heard cause he was a lane or so away. Hope it ends okay for him and wasn't blown turbos or anything. Not what I wanted to see on my way out to pick up lunch
