Hey guys and gals, It is getting warm out and I think now is a great time to start this thread for this years Sterling Car Meet we all enjoy on Friday nights with great crowd, nice place and good food!

For all you newbies, the car meet is held every Friday in the Chic-Fil-A / Lowe's parking lot starting around 4-5PM for all the classic cars and turns into an all car meet with 50+ cars every time around 6+ PM and lasts until 9-10+PM!

Location is in Sterling, VA off of Nokes Blvd and route 28 which is the Dulles Town Center Mall exit area!

So with that said let's get it started!

 

I'll be there around 6:30 or so. I'll do my best to remember the Datalogit.

 

Vlad, you do know this is for running RX-7's right? ;-)

Depends on when I get back from Chicago. Flight says six something. If not I will Be there next week.

I just put the finishing touches on my car a few days ago. Can't wait to bring it out and show off all the hard work I've put on it over the winter. Unfortunately I can't make it this week, got guests coming into town Fri afternoon.

 

I'm going to try to get out of the house and bring my fc up with a FS sign on it.
We'll see how that goes.

Dang! The one time I have ever heard of Ian going and I'm stuck working late.

 

It's ok, I could not make it either! But heard the lot was FULL!!! I'll make sure to make plans on attending the next weeks meet, it has been way too long!

 

I didn't get there until 10. Half the lights were out and there were a bunch of immature honda **** leftover. A bunch of trashy people left their Chick Fil A trash all over the parkinglot. People were doing burnouts and speeding around as they left.

It was a complete waste of time. I hope it's better earlier in the day.

 

From what I have gathered, you have to get there before the sun goes down. All the nice cars leave as soon as it gets dark and thats when the immature people come out.

 

Ian: We usually leave by 9 or so. As Casey said, the scene transitions from a reputible crowd to what you unfortunately witnessed. Sorry we missed you.

He doesn't get off until 11 but he should be coming with me for the cruise.

Was a route decided yet? Sunday, right?

 

The route will be decided at site depending on who actually shows and what they want to do. If I were to guess, I'd probably put my bet on the shorter route through the Shenandoah with those interested in Summit Point tailing off after lunch in Front Royal and the rest heading home.

And, yeah Sunday.
