What did you do to your FB today?
I threw an S4 T2 together for a local guy. It went from irons sitting on the garage floor to a running engine in a few hours.
It fired up in like 1 second of cranking and ran perfectly on the creeper with my proven system. (I used a carb, shhh!)
Here it is back down to a short block so he can pick it up tomorrow.

Consider JCCS next year, too - I think your efforts would be greatly appreciated by that crowd.
Today I took it back to the shop because the turn signals still aren't working, despite me plugging them back in, testing the switch, etc. They said just to bring it back. Got 3 rubbernecks and one thumbs up on the way to the shop.

I jjust had to pick these babies up directly from Mazda for my next engine build.... Apparently there is now just 1 left in Mazda's hands in the US, and only 13 left in japan. Brand new GSL-SE housings

My FB is back in the garage. Turns out to be a bad connection in the CPU/flasher relay. I checked everything else, and even tapped the relay, but never unplugged it and re-plugged it back in. Took it back to the paint shop and that's the first thing they did. Problem solved. Annoying because they didn't unplug it for paint and I'd never had any issues with the flashers in the past. I suspect the CPU may have some cracking solder joints. May pull it and have a look. But now I don't have to use hand signals when turning.

Pulled off the rear rotors and popped out the studs in prep for some extended studs I'll be getting tomorrow. Also need to get a grinder to trim the brake shield it doesn't scrape on the inside of the 13s. Noticed that one of my slicks didn't hold air. Hoping it was just the slick and not the wheel.

Edit: I just checked the website for Jim Ellis Mazda (who seems to have more FB parts in stock than most dealers) and they show them available for $495.89 each!

Mazda is a little unusual as they actually make a lot more parts than most car manufacturers.
the rotor housings are made by Mazda Japan, then they are sold to Mazda USA, who then sells to dealerships, then wholesalers (atkins, mazdatrix), and then you.
there are 3 gsl-se rotor housings in the Mazda warehouse in irvine, and jim ellis lists the part, but do not have any in stock, they would order from Mazda USA.

Jim Ellis does Mazda too? I've bought a bunch of bits from Jim Ellis Audi. I think I got the last PTC-style intake temp sensor. Bosch Motronic did some weird things in the 80s.
DD - you sliding to the dark-side of non-stock ?? (or have finally given up on lack of decent 13" choices?). Sorry to see you "go" bro.

One of the nicest Torando Silver SAs out there.
These are purdy tho. Presume pics to follow.

Four pristine, original, never-disassembled, period-correct Epsilon "Southern Ways" in the 15x7+10 size and 4x110 hole pattern that were sold at the time first gen's were still new, complete with mint-condition original center caps. A perfect "Plus-Two" match for the car with 195/50's on. Advertised in Rotary Rocket.
These fit right in with my whole scheme for the car, of "Period-Correct Resto-Mod," just like my Pilot fog lights, electric window and mirror retrofits, & chromed airbox.
I love my waffles and will not be parting with them, But my current tires are now almost 6 years old. Very little wear due to low mileage, but age will start to get to them before too long, and I don't see new 13" tires coming back on-market any time soon.
Plus, SHE said I should have them:

Gold face is ok but i feel that, tho it is common, a black face epsilons will flow better with your SA.
I knew about the green version of those stripes but didn't know about the orange ones. That
paint turned out really nice.
DD, those wheels look slick but you can't give up on your waffles. Make sure to swap them on
for shows.

Some shows/meets favor one definition of 'originality' (as in factory original) and others favor the other definition of 'originality' (uniqueness, individuality).
I'm gonna end up like the old saying: "A man with only one watch knows what time it is; a man with two is never sure."
Feeling buyers remorse now; I spent a fair penny on these rare and beautiful wheels and nobody seems to want me to use them.
