Is either of these what you need? Front Brakes, Rotors, Hubs, Calipers Scrool down to Front Caliper Rebuild Kits And Boot Kits.
ioTus, I dig the red striping on the red FB. Makes me almost consider keeping my moldings.
Today I received notification from Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development that I'm in...w00t!

Asked RB about Tokico strut/shocks, looks like they won't be back until spring:
I spoke with the guys at the Tokico/SEMA booth, they indicated that a new distribution contract was JUST signed with Motovicity (MI) and the product line will be available around the spring of next year. I will say that Hitachi/Tokico has done a horrid PR job with this whole mess; they just let the whole line disappear for the past few months while they sorted out their issues. Oh well....

Received my Weber 45 DCOE rebuild kit from Pierce Manifolds today. After I finish some other obligations, I'll be pulling apart the carb in prep for install, hopefully in Dec.

I think I put her to bed for the winter. Smooth is down and out.
I'll bet this is what it looks like when the seals are blown?
Both Leading plugs look like this:

I cleaned them up and tried to start her again... (daring to hope I had foolishly overfilled the oil?) Same no spark effort. I could just wring them out again and again.
both trailing plugs look like this

Last week as it started to get cold around here, she started acting different. When she started to get low on oil, adding 10-40 disappeared even faster, I wondered what the PO had in her.
Someone please tell me I'm wrong......

After many mountain runs over the last few years since moving to NC, the SA needs the front
suspension refurbished. I'll be putting it up on stands soon and ordering the MOOG idler arm,
tie rod ends, lower control arms (RB adjustable maybe), Hawk brake pads, slotted rotors. Will
also adjust the RB springs by cutting them down a bit, nothing radical just a little lower. Also
even out the height front to rear and side to side.
I'll wait to do shocks until I can get the Tokico adjustables in the spring. Current shocks (KYBs)
are ok but not matched to the RB springs that well.
A good winter project, hope to have it done over the holidays when I get some time.

Then repeat with rear rotor.
It's not nearly as accurate as a test with a proper rotary compression tester, but it will give you a general idea of the health of your engine.

Hard to tell from the pic; is the plug oily, or is it mostly-dry carbon, wetted by fuel?
Black and wet can be oil, or can be flooding-related, especially if running rich for a while.
Trailing plugs are better-protected behind their tiny holes (& on an 80 they fire less often, too), so they usually don't show as much contamination as the leads do.
Mocked up my new header panel scoop with poster board today. I have 2 ideas that are mocked up, and will be doing a third tonight after work, then I will choose my favorite and make it out of steel. Already looks much better than before. Once that is done I can paint, and install the header panel to free up some working room in the garage.
Drove a 300 mile round trip to pick up some good used housings since the ones that came out of the spare engine I bought by accident (whilst caned) on eBay turned out to look like this...

think the parts for the new engine will have travelled further to collect them all than the actual car has in its lifetime

So another TII swap? Maybe widebody? Everyone else is doing it...lol
Used the compression tester I borrowed from O'Reilly's.
Can you say ZERO?
That gauge sure can. EVERY TIME!
I'm just grateful she's in my driveway. It's kind of a matter of faith for me to always find something to be grateful for... I'm reaching here. I'm trying not to call her names like "Yard Ornament" & "Roller".

Redid my brake. Powder coated all the hardware, brackets, backing plate, rotors, rebuilt and painted the calipers, and installed some RB steal braided lines my wife bought be 9 years ago, new pads, wheel bearings, brake master.

I know, didn't even last 2 1/2 months
Just lost out on a widebody the other week that woulda been a perfect donor car for this one
Maybe this will be a widebody in the future with an REW like I've been planning
Is that a big brake kit? Those calipers look really gnarly - I like!

Got the SE back from the Paint shop Friday. Put on the new 15" rims today. Replaced the Headlights (Looks like the one's in there were the originals!) More pics to follow.

Took my FB out to the grocery store and the recycling station yesterday for some exercise. The guy running the recycling station nearly **** his pants and asked me if I wanted to sell her. Not a chance.
Then took her to a body shop that a friend of a friend works at to get an idea what it will take to sort out the little rust spot by the right corner of the hatch and freshen up the paint. I'll be saving for awhile.

yesterday; 500-miles round trip to Birmingham for the Classic Motor Show... half of it with no rear lights as the fuse blew and I didn't realise.
today; electrical fault-finding
Still, 800 miles in two days in a 28 year old Mazda, not too shabby
