It was a great show, near-perfect weather, met up with a lot of folks.

I didn't win the costume contest, but I did manage to capture 3rd-Place RX-7, much to my total surprise. SHow pix up later when I can get photobucket to behave itself.

Much fun on the drive down early in the morning. The drive back, a 30-mph creep down the freeway about half the distance, not quite so much. But still a good day!

Anybody else ever wax their door jams and underside of their hood? I had nothing else better to do.

Well it started out as "I'll just take her down the road to get some gas" but it turned into "I'm gonna drive her 'till she's broke" and that's exactly what I did. Something shifted during a "spirited" 1-2 shift and the fuse box went up in smoke. Lol I grinned the whole way home. It was great!

Got it back from the Muffler shop today. 3 new Cats and nice and quiet with no more exhaust smell. Next week it's the AC shop. Pretty sure the compressor is DOA.

The paint is done. The rear bumper and rear spoiler still need to be done. Those should be done by the end of the week. Then re-assembly begins:

Before clear coat:

After clear coat:

I'm very pleased with the results.

Hey guys, I've been beating my head looking the tips I need to use to port the irons and the housings with my Dremel. The numbers in the Racing Beat web site are nothing I can cross reference at Lowes or Sears in the Dremel section. Any help???? Material, part number, etc.?

Looking GOOD, fm!

I lost my job (got laid off) I stuck a lame 4sale message in the back window when there was a classic car show in town. NO interest (phew!).
I got a job! 80 miles away over the mountain pass. With a nice new landlord who made easy move-in terms, a small bonus for relocation from the new boss, and a lot of scrimping and praying, I parked her at my new address. Las Vegas, New Mexico!

Congrats and welcome back, Ms. DIY!

She's done. Picked her up today at the shop:

And back home, safe and sound:

Decals go on in a couple of weeks, after the paint has completely cured.

The oxidized wheels are really letting it down, so I need to get the SSRs on. In order to fit them, I have to put extended lugs in the rear rotors. I'll be pulling those off the car soon. The fronts will require a thin spacer in order to clear the SE calipers...probably 3-5 mil.

I'll also be dropping the car about 1-1/2" in the rear and maybe 1" in the front.

The engine bay of my brown GSL-SE was painted competition yellow mica by the PO, expecting that he'd do a widebody and some sort of wing some day. Then I got the car all gutted and had to piece the engine bay back together and get it running. The outside is still stock doo doo brown.

I wonder if there is a yellow stripe version available? Any pictures of the available color combos?

Thanks Divin! My intention was to take her to SS17, but the proximity to Thanksgiving has put the kabosh on it for me this year. I will bring her to SS18...most likely outfitted with a 13B peripheral port.
