Got you covered Carlos, got all that stuff, will bring to the gap.

I got to tell you guys, this year's DGRR is shaping up to be epic.

Is it the ten year anniversary or something? Or a full moon that weekend? Maybe a triangulation of Mars, Venus and Jupiter?

I fully expect the ghost of Felix to appear in the early morning dawn Sunday morning.

Wow, I need to read this more often. All kinds of people popping up. Stew good to hear from you. You need to visit. We might be able to work out a AL caravan over. Carlos good to hear we'll see you at DGRR.

Girlfriends are complicated, Ray. We probably will have to have an entire OGTA meeting dedicated to that subject.

What would I know about girlfriends Mike, I've already had too many.

Better off being married it seems to me.

But if you want to have a meeting on girlfriends we can work it out.

Hey Stu, got any girlfriends? Or maybe even married?

I'm guessing with a house full of car parts and two dogs, you're not quite there yet.

Are you going to DGRR? I hear Felix is going to show up. And Carlos too.

Nope, got close to being married, but that fell through. It was a good thing though!

And yes, My house is a literal man cave I assume. I got a fancy multi-tool from Mazda the other day, so I can replicate the Mazda blue color and paint my garage in it.

Oh, and pics when I get home. Been busy working 12's the past few months.

Post some pics Stu, it's been so long since I was in a man cave I forgot what one looked like.

So what's the troubles with the FB? Let's get that thing going in time for DGRR.

When I get off work tonight I will post some. Been hectic :/

The FB needs like 10 more bits wired up.
The brakes I modified for non power brakes, but the welder I used was a Harbor Freight special. I am 100% sure those welds will not hold.

Right now I am on the fence of re-welding it, or grinding the plate off and going back to power brakes. If I grind it, I don't know if the brake booster area would be stout enough after grinding. Would hate to step on the brakes and the pedal go through the firewall...

Speaking of getting sevens running....I really need to do my master cylinder and brake lines soon. I will probably go up to the mountain for DGRR but will probably ride in Ericas for the run, I have a feeling the rebuild time for mine is nearing, and I would rather not have to purchase a new rotor if I dont have to.

Sorry we missed the meet the other night, looking forward to seeing those of you who attend the other N Ga meet tonight at the other taco mac!

Ray, here is your picture:

Thems be the dogs and thar be me! That was when I closed on my house.

I do not have any recent pictures of the FB at the moment. Just imagine a FB on 4 jackstands, with the rear glass popped up because I don't want to ruin the only good strut left (which you gave me, by the way )

Looking good Stu, I'll have to give you a call when we close on our house, that suit will seal the deal.

My FB is in a similar state of total makeover as yours, it's also up on jack stands wanting more attention:

The dogs are looking good too, look like high quality mutts. You should fix the FB, toss them in the back and head on over for an OGTA meeting some day! Let me know when, I'll bring Weston and Darla along to romp with them in the Taco Hack parking lot.

Been looking at a convertible SA that needs restoring. If I were to grab it, any ideas on where I would even go about getting a new top for it?

i would think that any place that does/sells vert tops should be able to take the new vinyl material and fit it to the framework of what is there. shouldn't be too costly considering less material used than the usual top. doubt the original manufacturer of the top still exists.

Well Cam, I've got to call you on this. Mazda never made a convertible SA.

Pics or it didn't happen. You sure you're not looking at an FC with the bumpers torn off?

Mazda never made any SA or FB convertibles. however, dot, coma, a company in California did some custom jobs in a number of the. (I want to say 1980 -1982 years), RX7 that were very factory like productions. They were actually on the Motor Trend magazine cover somewhere between January 1982 and May 1982, That, Savannah, ladies and been station in Augusta during that time is all I remembered...

I was thinking about putting together a mountain drive this Saturday if any of you were interested. Maybe meet at my house around 10 or 11 Saturday morning, go drive through Dahlonega to Suches, through Wolfpen Gap and down Blood Mountain back to Dahlonega. Then we could have lunch at my place or out somewhere in Dahlonega/Dawsonville. Heres a map.

If you'd be interested let me know so I can have a rough head count. So far it's me, and a maybe from Alex (FD) and Ceasar (FE).

I know it sounds like I'm late to the party but this week started my DGRR prep, now that I have income again. New master cylinder and braided lines will be going in, plugs, wires, new fluids, some paint, going to adjust the coilovers slightly to raise the car to a logical height, and since the teal wheels are now gone, new wheels and tires for April! Does anyone have any wheel spacers laying around they don't need?

Say it ain't so Cam, you didn't really part with those turquoise wheels did you?

They were your signature, your essence, how could you???

Sounds like you're having a major makeover, post pics of your progress.
