Ray, I know you don't do boingers but that's not a 280Z. That's a Z31 300Zx.

Also, I wish I was there for the picture taking, I was at work selling chicken to people.

Hey Ray, this is Sara. (no H!) Kev and I had a nice time meeting everyone. Kevin's RX7 will for sure be looking better and better each meet.

Btw, do you know of a detail shop I could take my Z to?

How much would they run to get the faded paint back to it's original state?

Just for the record,m I did not mean to burnout on the way out of Jeffery's yesterday. My carb's idle jets have been sub-par ever since Crit and I rebuilt it, and if I don;t rev high enough to chirp those tires it won't move without me crawling up to speed SUPER slowly and the traffic on that road was dense enough where I didn't want the 7 to hesitate on me, because it normally does when I pull out to accelerate through 1st and get on a main road and I've been nearly hit many times because of it. Good news is the new jets came today and running the next 2 richest jets works like a charm, it keeps up with the progression circuit like it should.

The bad news, Chris, is that you could have just slipped the clutch instead. I'm not sure anyone noticed, but the owner was very aware that the car group was there, on account of our special patio permission. Let's hope we didn't **** him off after he was so cool to us.

Is that you Alex? That would be cruel to make me look at it every time I drive by. Sorry, you missed us at Jeffrey's last night.

Anyway, here's what happened tonight:

May 5, 2009 OGTA Meeting at Jefferies Sets a New 12A Record !

1 REPU = 2 12A's (Crit)

1 RX-2 = 2 12A's (Jeremy)

2 SA's = 3 12A's (Cory, Andy the Elder)

9 FB's = 9 12A's (Gene, Geraldo, Juno/Ben, Chris, Mike, Greg the Elder, Kevin the Elder, Kevin the Younger, Ray)

6 FC's = 3 12A's (Andy the Younger, Luke, Holly, Collin, Brett, Alan)

2 boingers = 0 12A's (Sarah, Billy)

Total 12A equivalents = 19 !!!
Great job remembering everyone Ray!!!! You did forget Kristy's boinger though, although it does not make the count any higher.

And I want to lobby for getting a full point for the Pre-Production FC.
It is historic
It has lots of FB goodies under the hood - twin coils, dizzy, 85 fuel injection
It has an 85 shift ****

So how about bumping that 12A equivelent count up to 19.5??? Billy and Chris said they would back me up.

And yet, all the drivetrain bits, interior bits, body panels, etc. are S4, which make it much easier to keep on the road - hence its half-point status. That's my vote, anyway.

And Billy didn't back you up - he favored a 3/4 point value for the Series-3.94

I WAS trying to slip it, I had just driven Colin's FC and he has a clutch that engages off the floor where mine engages at the top of travel, so I pulled back from the floor a few inches with the mentality that I was fully engaged, giving it the throttle it needed to not stall, then fully let off which ACTUALLY let the clutch make full contact. The tires squealing actually surprised me.

Nice photos Brett, but I saw you taking a whole lot more. Can you post them, or were those for the feds?

Holly I am totally chagrined about Christy's boinger, I needed to add her 0, sorry, please give her my profound apologies. I don't have any photos of that car (or Billy's) and I don't even think I saw it (boingers is boingers, right?). Do you suppose she is ready to get a 12A? If you've got pics of her boinger, please post.

Hey Mr. Bill, now that you got the mods straightened out, don't you think it's time to show up in an Old School?

She's driving Jim Downing's super-special preproduction FC. Serial number 100006, FB distributor and coils, crazy license plate lights, TII brakes (to make all the magazine covers), TII hood (again for good looks), all on an S4 NA block. I'm curious, though, where the coolant seals are on that motor, given that it borrows so heavily from the GSL-SE. I wonder if it's got -SE irons and housings.....

Oh, and it's for sale.

Guys the carb rejetting is wonderful! No more stupid low RPM hesitations. I have a little bit of idle-to-full throttle hesitation with all 3 of my accelerator pump jet sizes. (75 80 and 90) so I'll have ot see which one of those is the least hesitant. I can't tell if it's too rich and is bogging, or too lean and is not able to fire. I think it's actually too rich because 75 is working the best so far (I had the 80s installed and I tried the 90s without driving but revving in neutral.
