Those Metropolitans sure are pretty cars, I especially like the red '59 hardtop.

I'll see what Cathy thinks about the price tag.
Tommy, you are such an engineer. Making people pay for information.
Now in my business (education) information is distributed freely for the betterment of mankind.
So please, make the world a better place and tell us what Billy got, please?

Heck I don't know any of you guys.. Yet.. And I'm curious. Btw I'm moving to Savannah tomorrow. Be in our new home by Tuesday morn.
Happy Trails Paul, be safe!
So yeah, since Billy is known for his impeccable taste in rotary powered automobiles, it would be nice if we could get a picture or two of his new acquisition.
How 'bout it folks?

Dudes, look what I got.
I'm so excited.
Purchased for the minimum bid of $15.99 on ebay, a total sleeper.
I'll post some more pics when it comes in, these are from the ebay ad:

I'm not even sure where it came from, I've seen it before but can't remember where.
Turbo 12A from Japan?
Late model REPU?
Cosmo with a Nikki?
Don't know, but the Rotary Gods are smiling tonight. The Darth Vader of Nikki Breathers.
Eat your heart out Billy.
I'm so excited!

I did some looking on Ausrotary, Ray, and came up with nothing. RX-4 and REPU 13Bs came with blue air cleaners similar to what you've seen, except that they go on the Hitachi rather than Nikki. I have no idea where your black one came from - a 10A perhaps?
That's not a Nash Rambler. It's a Series III Metropolitan, produced from 1955 to 1959 by the American Motors Company. (Series IV, made from 1959 to 1962, had vent windows).
Early Metropolitans were Nash Metropolitans or Hudson Metropolitans, but from 1957 to 1962, when most were manufactured, they are just plain Metropolitans, marketed as a separate marque.
Here is a photo of a Nash Rambler, not nearly as pretty as a Metropolitan:

What a mess. Made it to Columbia SC. Waited for my buddies behind me in truck and trailer. Pulled in, parked, walked back to see how dirty car got and discovered my beautiful detail job is covered in diesel and tranny fluid leaking back on my 7. !! It's covered in diesel with droplets of trans sprinkled all over. Have to call road side since we paid for every conceivable insurance possible. Hoping they fix leak tonight while we're sleeping. Not sur how f#*+€ed my paint job is yet..quite positive they're going to have to have it buffed out and multi finished again.. Ughh..
