Old guys with 12As club meeting
That's a fantastic deal Greg, I'd be all over that puppy if I had an AT and wanted to save $700 by not going with the full RB system. It even looks to be chromed.
Greg The Elder
Greg;
I'm assuming then that this pipe would run from the original thermal reactor on the side of the engine to the old main catalytic convertor? I’ve got a pipe that mike gave me a awhile back that replaces the main cat. Would this be all that I need then?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I can forgo the trip for a couple weeks, but I really hate just leaving it at Ray's. I feel I'm starting to overstay my welcome over there....

Kevin, please don't feel that the RX-4 is unwelcome, we just feel that it is too nice a car to sit and deteriorate. Somebody needs to adopt her and get her back on the road.
Greg the RB cat replacement pipe should run from the stock exhaust manifold straight back to the mid pipe and muffler (otherwise known as the cat back system).
All three cats are replaced and can be removed as a single unit by unbolting the two bolts at the manifold and the two bolts to the cat back system. The replacement pipe then bolts in at these same four bolt locations.

Aaron, I think the deal with the poly bushings being drilled out has to do with the Watts Link. You want the Watts Link to move freely. I have heard 2 schools of thought on this. 1) Leave the old bushings in place, as they're old and should move freely. 2) Replace the bushings with new poly bushing and this should prevent binding. I don't know which is best. So, the only bushings I did NOTreplace are the Watts Link bushings. Car seems to work well.
Greg, if you get the cat replacment pipe from RB, you won't need the pipe I gave you. As Ray said, the RB pipe is designed to go from the stock exhaust manifold to the tail pipe and eliminates all cats. The one I gave you is designed to work with a header not a stock exhaust manifold.
I'll see you guys tomorrow night at the Shrinking Kilt...

I have a report from my spy drone circling eastern Alabama that a white SA with a whale tail has been spotted heading for Atlanta. Could be Robert.
Mike the Rotary Center of the Universe holds secrets Ed Snowden never heard of.
It all started in the mid 1960's with an obscure band in San Francisco and a monotonic but highly dynamic female lead who had a vision about a white rabbit. The band and others of similar mind and dimension went on to create a counter cultural revolution that changed the course of American history.
In 1968, the commune realized the inherent limitations of a capitalist society and went underground, moving to a quiet rural community in Georgia that eventually became known as Jefferson.
That's when I joined the commune and research on drones and rotary powered vehicles was initiated.
We've been flying drones since the mid 1970's and in 1975 we sold our concept for a rotary powered sports car to Mazda, which they modified slightly, replacing our radically new catalytic converter with a thermoreactor and ditching the X wheels for waffles. Of course we had it right the first time, which the Mazda engineers eventually realized.
Mazda went public with the RX-7 in 1978 and the rest, as you know, is rotary history.
There's more, but I'm worried the NSA may stumble on this thread, so I'd better stop there.

Photos from the July 2, 2013 OGTA meeting.
Robert came over from Alabama with his white whale tail.
Mike's FB and Jeremy's RX-2 were pretty as ever.
There were some new guys with a really nice gray FD.
Lee still has his mint gray FC for sale.
There were a bunch of FE's.
The waitresses were great.
Billy said his REPU was nearing completion. Yeah right.
We had a really good time.

I think I need to move to the Jefferson commune or at least visit more.
Cool Mike, we can put you on the crew that's doing the Lawrenceville surveillance, they need some imaginative minds.
I'm as curious as you as to the 12A count, I really think that little blond waitress registers 2 12A's at least.

Anybody know if Robert made it back to Alabama?

Glad to hear you had a safe ride home Robert.
Christy, what was the 12A count? You better include the little blond waitress. Only old shool 12As have ever been award 2 points. Ray was pretty impressed.

I don't think Kristy counts blondes in the 12A count Mike, she won't even consider a mint set of 83 LE wheels as genuine 12A Old School.
But yes, that little blond was impressive.

Looks good to me Mike, nice work.
You need to fix the "-" after the SkyActiv, which will bring the 12A count to the correct total for the July meet of 9.705 12A's.
And a fantastic meet it was.
So not bad for your first outing, and with the proper training you have possibilities.
In fact, as we enter the SkyActiv Age, I think we could use a new OGTA Secretary. You need a job?
