I see some value in that thing. Those tail lights, the rear bumper, the LSD rear end (if those are the original wheels). That riggin's worth at least $400 in my book I don't really see much use for it though...

Dudes, I should have this baby in my driveway by Friday night if everything goes as planned. I can turn that $400 convertible into this:

Yep, it's in Matthews, just outside of Charlotte. Looking forward to the 4 hour drive Friday afternoon

You are more than welcome to come up to my place and stay if you didn't feel like heading back same day. Matthews is only about 45 minutes south of me.

The owner(s) wouldn't happen to have the last name Skeen would they? Good luck with it. The trip is not that bad. I do it often. Watch for troopers in SC between greenville and Spartanburg.

Who woulda' thunk.

His name is Dave Nichols, Google stalking makes me believe he's real big on the BMW CCA and used to track a 79 E21.

I appreciate the offer to stay at your place. And the police tips We're actually thinking of turning it into a mini vacation- any ideas on what's cool to see/ do in Charlotte?

Brett remember its NASCAR race week up here, with the big race going on this
weekend. Theres a lot of NASCAR stuff happening in downtown Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday. You could check that out. Matthews has a really nice little town
center with a lot of shops and things you all might like. Theres Carowinds
amusement which you'll probably see signs for as you make your way towards
Matthews. Lots of stuff, its the big city

Oh, and you can expect traffic to suck really bad once you hit 85 coming east into
485 to get over to Mathews. I would recommend getting off onto Pineville-Matthews Rd
(exit 64) as soon as possible because 485 between 77 and Matthews becomes a parking lot at rush hour.

+1 on the 85 speed traps along the greenville area as well as on 85 just at the GA/SC border.

If you decide to stay over somewhere, let Dave and I know. We can turn it into a mini OGTA remote meet.

I talked to the girlfriend over lunch and she wants to wait until late July to do our vacation. We've only got $200 or saved for the trip, so if we broke into that now we probably couldn't go through with the St. Augustine trip later on... Plus she wants the ocean, which looks to be a bit far from Charlotte

The seller told me to take the loop and meet him at exit 52. Here's a map of the route, let me know if I should go a different way that might help avoid that Friday 5 PM traffic

I think this is the Daytona Blue color, in a 1st gen and a 3rd gen. Collin used to have his FC painted that color.

Any OGTA rotorheads interested in getting together at the Perimeter Tilted Kilt on Tuesday evening, the 31st of May? Robert, a rotorhead from TN will be driving through Atlanta to TN on his way back from Savannah. He is would like to stop and have dinner with whomever wants to get together.

I forgot about lunch, until that moment, so I wasn't sure if you could respond in time. Oh well, hope you enjoyed lunch.

Ray, I hope you recoup in time for the June OGTA meeting. You missed the May meeting with that excuse already. I think you are giving literal meaning to the "O" in OGTA.

Sorry to miss you Holly, hope we can more than make up at the June meeting (no videos allowed).

And the next OGTA meeting is not next Tuesday, for you guys who are calendar impaired, but the Tuesday after.

Holly, remind me next time at the Hunan not to get the Hunan Shrimp. It's full of mushrooms and some kind of spice that makes you buy more beer.

There's one or two things on their menu that are really good, but I can't remember what they are.

I was thinking it might be Alzheimer's but I couldn't remember how to spell it.

Brett I know those BMW's are supposed to be nice cars and all but what I don't understand is why they make them look like Russian taxi cabs.

It's because they are made by the left overs of the third Reich. We all know how much the friendly world dominator was influenced by his friends to the north. As long as it comes with a steady supply of Vodka I say you have a winnner!
