Carleton, you can buy a pretty decent FB, including a really nice Nikki, for $600 bucks.
LOL, not on CL you cant.... I looked eariler today just too, and MOST of the FB's and all of the other gens for that matter didnt drop under $1300, minus a FB/FC (cant remember which) that was a rolling shell...

=P 600 is my standing offer for the weber lol. or a trade for the Horto... because I love how this side draft feels, and dont wanna give it up =P

Hey Ray,

Not able to make it to the Mitty. Wish we could. Hopefully we can make it down soon, though.

Are you sure you guys can't make it Kent? This is going to be the Mazda meet of the decade, possibly the last great rotary gathering of all time.

Carlton, here you go. I know this guy, you could easily talk him down to $600:

You've got a rotor rim? Sweet... IIRC someone was looking to buy just one somewhere on here a while back.

I dont know if ima be showing up.....

-___- BOOK TIME!!!

OKAY! so tonight I ran battery cable wire form my negative bold on the tranny, to the ground bolt on the strut housing, then to the battery terminal. as well as installed my new starter, I ran every thing correctly. Checked by my haynes manual and called geraldo, and ben, and the guy at rotary related (whos name slips my mind atm)

When I connected the battery, it sparked and smoked and got hot.. and I dont know what I did wrong... I ran everything correctly, so why did my battery try to explode??!!!

I tried to call billy but he didnt answer.. LOL BILLY SAVE MEEEE!!!!!! IM home all day on saturdayyyy!!! PLEASEEE?!

you ground the battery to the body of the starter.

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...539243417____#

this is the starter I bought... As you can see, theres only one place I could possible bolt on the positive wire, on the selonoid, so IDK what I DID wrong....

This is the strut tower where I made my ground with the new wires... i assume this is correct enough, to work and not start a problem but please tell me if im wrong..

I just found out that both my negative wire and positive wire are 4 gauge...... Brian ( a friend) told me the positive wire needs to be smaller, cause its causing the problem...

So I'm going to try buying a smaller gauge positive wire, and run that and see if it fixes my issue. WISH ME LUCK!!!!

if the pos wire is grounding, it wont matter what size it is. the size wire u have is fine. make sure the pos wire isn't touching a part of the starter it shouldn't be. there may be a problem with the new starter or solenoid.

Gah, no sucess today.

We swapped the fuel pump, dropped the tank and pulled the filter in there, removed the filter sock, changed a few of the soft lines, and we still can't get fuel out of the thing. The pump does sound like it is struggling (both pumps), but I'm really kind of lost.

With a hand vacuum pump, no problem pulling fuel all the way to the firewall. Running out of ideas though.

HAII GUYSSS!!! TODAY WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!! IMPORT ALLIANCE WAS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!

THEN MY CREW HIT ATLANTIC STATION!!! AND WE SAW A LAMBO GALLARDO, A MASERATI GRAND TRUISMO, AND A PORSCHE PANAMERA!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

AND MY RX7 IS RUNNING SO SMOOTH!!! AND STRONG!!! I RACED A RX8 FROM A DIG but we had to stop at the middle of 2nd gear due to traffic.....

But I kept up through all 1st, and a quarter of 2nd before he started to get away from me lol.

(i got tired of the shift button............. now i just remembered caps lock -___-) wow.

ANNNND IDK what happened.... but two days ago, I came back out to my car, and tried connecting the battery again, and it worked fine... no sparks, smoking, or hot terminals....

SO IDK WHAT CHANGED OVER NIGHT BUT IT FIXED IT SELF LOL.... thanks for all the tips though... Now, I'm getting my prescilencer installed, and having the muffler removed.... so no more Flow Master... just RB headers/prescilencer and piping...... Will that be loud still?? im hoping the muffler delete will take the noise down about 1/2

I know for a fact it, it wont be nearly as deep and growly... which im happy to be getting rid of. Im ready for a quiet all rotor sound =)

oh well!!! later guys!! hope every one is having a good day!
