Man Holly, you guys are Party Animals! Say hey to Chad and family!

OK, who can tell me what this is. Looks like it might be good for fuel economy:

Naw, I figured out the BOLDING thing a long time ago. It's just that every time I bold something the mods keep undoing it, probably because I voted for Obama.

Michael, the guy claimed in his original ebay ad that unit was a 4 barrel carb but I see he's changed it now to throttle body. Check this out, here is his "radio with equalizer"

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...item2a0f51325d

He had me thinking it might be a three barrel from an early prototype. Hey, what do I know about fuel injection? Not much.

yeah i told him it wasn't what he claimed. the response i got was:

Dear rxtasy3,

Listed too many items at one sitting and messed that up- it IS a GSL-SE throttle body. Thanks for the note!

- peppuzzu

so anything else u find claimed as one thing but not what's pictured will be due to the same screwup. he's just not paying attention to what he's doing.

Tim, it is best to just let it go. I'm sure that the mods are conspiring against all microbiology prophesors, that drive silver FBs, with active OCD, and feed beer to their goats on the forum.

Next time I get out to Jefferson, I'll fix it for him.

Oh yeah. OGTA next week and after that just a little over 3 weeks to get your car ready for the Mitty. I am really looking foward to swarm of rotaries struting their stuff at the Mitty.

I have become a rotary nerd.

Since I'm such a great employee, my boss asked me to go along with himself and another coworker to the Houston Steel Training Conference our company is hosting. So Tuesday afternoon I'm flying out (my first flight, ever!) and won't be back until Thursday evening. So I'll unfortunately miss this meet, but the Mitty's just right around the corner!

Mike, nerd maybe but you're not a rotary junkie until you have two FB's in the driveway.

I'm taking my FB over to Zen MotorSports tomorrow to have them fix my oil leak and my electrical problem.... then I'm buying some rims from someone.... SHSSSSS, it's a secret. then its off to Billy for suspension parts!!!

Then eventually body work and paint.... interior.... and she'll be finished!!! <3

I'm looking at maybe another 6 months before body and paint and interior though...

Sounds like you are getting into it Carleton, we will make a rotor head out of you yet.

Brett three FC's and a shed full of parts qualifies as a rotary junkie for sure. (Not rotary junk, as my purist colleagues might claim).

Dudes, look what came in the mail today. I put my order in at 4:55 Wednesday afternoon, they were in the Friday 12:00 mail today:

Carlton, If you are on a budget for a paint job, My brother just took his miata to Maaco for there basic paint job. The price was $370 and that included taking out some dents. Here are some before and after pictures.

Looks good Alex, you should get that Miata to come on down to the April OGTA.

I'm thinking about doing a Maaco myself, do the prep work to make sure it looks good then take it down for just the spray. There's another local shop in Athens near where I live that I'll check for a competitive quote.

The Silver One would look great in a new coat of paint.

Hi all, just getting the automatic together for tomorrows meet. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help?

1) In the mornings my rpm gauge does not work and when i take off from a complete stop, it stalls. As the day goes on the car operates perfect without a hitch and rpm gauge works well.

2) Does anyone know how to or do you recommend installing 2nd gen coil pack (direct fire)?

Thanks, i would appreciate any input.

p.s. Hey Ray, it was nice meeting you and thanks for the DP.

Hey Greg, I don't have a clue on the automatic stuff but we should be able to hook up the 2nd gen coil pack in the Jefferies parking lot in about 20 minutes. The hardest part is figuring out how to mount it to the strut tower but there is a threaded hole that can be used to mount it pretty well if you have the right bolt. I'll bring some wire and connectors.

@alex, yeah I'm not on a budget for it, because I'm budgeting for it lol. (does that make sense)

I got a friend who runs a drag car, and does welding out of a shop, and his friends in the shop next door hook him and his friends up with full dent/body prep and paint at a base of 1k a job. So ima save for it, cause theyll straighten my frame and replace my bumper and all that good ish lol.

But that Miata looks GOOD! lol

my car is at Zen Motors as of Saturday, but ima try and show up to the OGTA meet in a piston car tomorrow... lol dont hate me. =p

LSD yes, rear end no. I have had one in the FB since the first resto. It was the first real mod I did. Aside from removing that nasty emmisions stuff.

I think your Ga. wasps have moved up here . There are quite a few buzzing in and out of the FB today. Gonna have to go on a search and destroy mission soon I guess.
