Old guys with 12As club meeting
Yep, SA's have got the emblems, here's proof that I'll be bringing to the November OGTA meeting:

Note that it's a Savanna (thin side molding and fender mounted mirrors) and it has the RX-7 emblem in the usual place. RXtasy, you might want to mount those emblems with double sticky tape, it's easier and you don't have to drill holes.
I'll bring my painted emblems too, haven't gotten around to mounting them yet.
It'd be really good to see you old guys from up north one of these times!
Donny, that SA above your SA belongs to a friend of Greg's who is an old guy who says he'll be bringing this highly modified beast to the next meeting. And you're right, that black car probably was an FB, it was hard to tell in the dark.
See ya'll next Tuesday!

If you follow the mapquest instructions you can probably cut that 450 miles down to 350. It would be great to see you, talk about dedication to the 7.
We can do the oil change after the meeting in my driveway or if you want I'll bring the stuff and we can do it in Jeffrey's parking lot. Have I told you about my "don't have to jack it up to change the oil method". Only one wrench needed, you are going to put in one of those cool little black Mazda oil filters, right?
Donny, you will definitely be there, I can't wait to see that silver car. If he doesn't show up Greg knows where he lives.
So yeah Mike, I'll be there, need to show you my new 2GDFI installation.

I don't know if I can handle seeing your driveway, I almost shed a tear when you said they were hauling some of your 7's away. I guess you get to see your old GSL valance in the flesh... err or plastic haha.
What, you use special order oil? It would be good to see your Nikki as well, bring her on down. I miss all those 7's too, but my wife doesn't and now I can focus on the two I've got, one the daily driver and the other up on blocks. I need to do some valence work on the silver one, I'm curious how you fitted that piece to your car. Thanks for making the trip!

Five very nice 1Gs showed up.

Stu, Frank, Greg, Crit, Mike. The picture is a little blurry because I took it.

Some serious rotary discussions were had. That's Stu's car in the front, it drove 450+ to show up and it runs good on the highway, I know. We would have bought him a beer but he's underage.

Here's a close up of Frank's SA.

Lovin the pics! It was a good meet, I enjoyed it tons. What was that, 3 hours of rotorhead talk?
I learned quite a few things today, as always. Hope to see everyone again, and thanks for the dash's Ray! It's 3:15 and I think I am tired now.

some nice 7's. even tho mine can't compair, i'm going to have to make the 2 hr and some drive for one of these meets. if the next meet is around the same time, i'll have to take time off work as i work 2nd shift. if those names r in order as the pic, damn crit and mike, any chance u guys had to rework the seat mounts to fit urselfs in a 1st gen?

Sorry I could not make it......Seems as though a 10 year wedding anniversary is supposed to be a higher priority.......or so I am told

With out-of-state license plates, no less, N.C. and S.C.
That was a good move Billy, better to live to fight another day. And even better yet, bring her along to the next meeting, there has been some discussion about getting the wives involved (although some have called this idea heresy, lunacy or psychosis).
PS, I just noticed I'll be in D.C. on Tuesday December 4th, so it looks like you guys will be on your own for the next one!

Regarding the seats, I don't have storage bins. The driver's seat goes all the way back to the rear seats, and the legs feel about right. Of course, the steering wheel's still where I left it, but it all works well enough. We don't drive these things because they're luxo-barges after all.
The picture is a bit of an optical illusion. I benefited from the angle of the camera and the slope of the parking lot. I have no problem sitting in the 7. But, Crit is a pretty big guy.
It would be great to get some represenation from Spartanburg. But, we all understand about work.
Now some boondoggle to Washington DC, probably to pilfer more tax payer money for research, that does not sound like work. Ray, you better cancel that trip and plan to be at he Dec. meet. 8^)
