Pretty awesome Collin. I agree on the cooler air thing, my car feels like it's been behaving so much better. I also got some new brakes for it, Woo!

Yeah, trading an '86 for an '05 is pretty damn nifty. I even have the original window sticker lol

More like I found it...

Let me tell you guys a little about Wanda...

Wanda had been in several small accidents over her lifetime, and therefore, nothing lined up properly or could be lined up properly. The doors, fenders, and hood were all fubared. She also had quite a bit of rust underneath her in places where you don't want it.. like the seat mounting points, and the seatBELT mounting points. Bad rust. Very bad.

Wanda also had wiring issues. When the front harness set fire, and I took the dash out to see what happened, how bad it was, and where that wire went, I noticed that a lot of the wiring even just inside the car was looking pretty brittle and iffy. It was only a matter of time before something else shorted, and possibly burned the car to the ground.

Wanda also had 173k miles on the keg itself. While I'm all for rotary reliability, even since I have purchased the car, I have noticed that it takes a bit longer to start and is more sluggish than she used to be.

Another thing is that the gas tank was still in need of replacement, as I only patched the leak with epoxy. The fuel hard lines looked pretty damn scary, too.

Other than that... she would have been awful to drive in the winter for the simple fact that I did not want that car to rust away. Despite already being rusty in places you cannot see, I would have felt horrible about having it get much, much worse. I also would have felt horrible if someone slid into me on some ice like at a traffic light. The car would be totaled out very easily because it's value to insurance is nothing.

Since I moved, I have also lost my support from all of you guys. I have no source of local parts if I were to need something in a hurry.

With the P71, it's a Ford.. parts are stocked everywhere, and it's a very durable machine. There are more sources of local parts in terms of body panels, electrics, etc as well.
And if someone taps/hits me come winter time, I won't feel very bad.

C'mon, I traded a ******* 1986 rattle trap (That I loved dearly, don't get me wrong) for a 2005 Police Interceptor! Admit it, that's pretty damn impressive.

On a side note.. I could always drive down there to the next meet, and while you guys are all inside eating, tow every one of your cars to the other side of the parking lot. lol

Hey guys intraduced myself a few years ago, I think I may qualify for the club. Just picked up SA22C533492 and I think it's a Spark yellow, covered by Red covered by Almost Spark Yellow salvage title 79 from a crew of ratary junkies out in Stone Mountain. I think i got a decent deal but the Tennessee salveage title has been giving me buyers remorse for the last hour or so. Got it home and started cleanig, gutted the interior will pull and clean everything this wek end. Haveing fun already. motor will need so work. Well just wanted to say hello and I GOT A NEW TOY!!!!

That Vic is sounding better all the time Collin, got some pics with the salt washed off it? The Vic Mobile would make for a nice cruise down from the Snowy North sometime this winter.

SA22C533492 would be a cool thing to see indeed. Come on down DW. Got pics in the mean time?

Because they are a massive land yacht, rear wheel drive, tons of torque, and a complete riot to drive?

Someone in the OGTA needs to jump on this or risk getting kicked in the stones. Ben, where you at?

I would be all over that if I was on the other side of the home refi. Darn, nice truck. Hope to see it at a future OGTA meeting.

Ray, did you buy that REPU yet? I think it will handle your penchant for off-roading a little better than the silver one.

Angel, you got pics? That RX-3 that used to belong to Billy is one nice vehicle.

Yes Mike, Off Road is not a good place to go, needs to be avoided. Not sure how the REPU up would have handled.

This afternoon when I left work for class, I passed a nice red S5 vert with the top down. Never seen them before...

And when I was leaving class later on, I went to stop by Wal-Mart, and right as I pulled in I saw a nice silver SA. Who was driving it? Some brunette chick with curly hair. Never seen her before either, but wouldn't mind seeing her again
