Old guys with 12As club meeting
Nah, he has to drive a truck...and soon our family may need something that can seat five comfortably and tow AT LEAST 5,000lbs dry weight. That's the minimum.
Edit: Tell Cathy that the brownies were really good!
I dunno what I'm gonna do tomorrow... hm

Gives you tons of options on where you are going to put it. I use the second link after it was uploaded. Easy as pie and no signup :P

We're not short on FDs in Atlanta, but they all seem to be scared off by leaves and gravel - go figure!
Ray, thanks for having us all out, it was a really nice layout. And it looks like your fender came back really clean, too!

Great meet Saturday.
Thank you Cathy and Ray you guys are terrific hosts. Michelle really enjoyed herself also. She is ready to hang out again (rotarys optional - go figure).
Great meeting all you guys. I have to agree with Ray, the meet was complete when Sam did surgery on Stu's carb right there in the driveway.
Maybe the next Saturday meet should be at a park up in the mountains near where TN, NC, SC, and GA all come togther. It would be more central and we could all enjoy nice ride through some twisty roads on the way there. What do you guys think?
Now that this thread has reached 20 pages, I think it is time we start a new thread. Who is the secretary of this club any way (is that you Greg).

Pretty much everythings already been said by others.
AWESOME Meet, had a great time, good food, and got to see some cool rides.
Hope to do it again!!
Jeez I let you guy post for a while and you get everything all mixed up. Tim is reporting how many cars were at the I70/I40 meet on Sunday (which the Carolina boys attended), not the Saturday OGTA meet (there were 11 at OGTA, 3 FCs, 6 FBs and 2 SAs, or something like that, the equivalent of 10.5 12As).
And Crit is making some obscure joke about gravel, leaves and a fender.
Mike doesn't even know who the Secretary is (it's Holly Mike, but if she doesn't show up with a 12 A pretty soon we can fire her and make you Secretary). And then he's complaining about the post being too long (Mike, that's the point, to make our post longer than all those other guys). And Crit, Mike is right, it's 20 pages, not 10.
Sometimes it's hard being the Oldest Old Guy. But at least Austin and Donny got their issues figured out.
It was a great time guys and the madness keeps expanding. Let's keep up the regular Tuesday evening get togethers through the winter, then try for some new records in the Spring - I like Mike's idea of a meet up in the mountains.

I am all for weekend visits, and if I know a few months ahead of time I think I may get a day off.

Ray, if you peruse the Lounge area, you'll see that people get roasted for not changing the default posts per page. I'm on page 10, and it was just a joke.
I'm curious what a GSL-SE counts for on the OGTA scale. I'm not sure if it would be .75 or 1.5 - I could see it going both ways.
Just curious

Crit, SE's count as "experimental 12As", with an equivalent value of one 12A. The 13B engine was a well intended experiment by Mazda that failed, ultimately demonstrating the 12A as the better design.
I reread your fender sentence, now I get it, the fender "came back really clean" like reasonably straight after I banged on it. I was confused because nothing around here is really clean, in the cleanliness sense.
I still haven't figured out how 20 pages become 10 or what a "default posts per page" is, but I probably don't need to understand that stuff anyway, I stay away from the lounge.
Sounds like the mountains in Spring, anybody got a date yet?

i'll tell you guy's i'm jealous!! up north we never have meets. the last one i hosted was in 05.... and only three guys showed up...we did a 12A teardown and it was a good day. definatly not as good as your guy's day. Ray Green has always been a great contributor to this forum and a great guy to go to when someone is in need of something!! i wish i could have gone and met everyone!!
ray, in the top left corner of the page click User CP, then in the left column click Edit Options. scroll down to Thread Display Options box and where it says Number of Posts to Show Per Page, there's a drop down menu that will allow up to 50 posts per page. i have it set to forum default which seems to be 25 posts per page and yes this is page 20.
So if we if we change the default to 5 posts per page, then we'd be on page 100? Hmmm.......
Thanks Crit on the fender comment, with all the excitement of the weekend and this incredible weather, I just can't leave that silver car alone. It must be 80 degrees out right now, bright sun and still early in the day.
Good news is I'm home skipping work and about to go out and get greasy.

Next OGTA Saturday Meet
I think we should target March for the next Saturday meet. Weather should be pretty decent in March. Does anyone have a suggestion for a place to meet, maybe a state park?
