Kevin and Crit when are you guys available to do the compression test? I'll make myself available. I guess this all comes back to getting the compression guage from Collin.

I think I'm going to Flordia early... so I wont be able to make it to this OGTA. I could go see Collin before I leave, so I'll leave those shocks for Billy with him if I see him. If not, I'm over around 20 all the time, so I could meet you, Billy, whenever. Or I could drop them off with Crit... whatever you want. Just let me know.

And Greg, you should get together a weekend meet to swap that other motor into your car if that with Kevin goes through good. I'd be up for it

Greg, if the engine checks out, you can always just give Billy your old front cover. There's no reason it has to come off Kevin's engine. We can check the engine out this weekend if y'all want, if we can get the compression tester from Collin. Otherwise, we'll have it back on Tuesday. Mike, if the car's still running, I'd like to test both yours and Kevin's engine to get an idea on where yours really lies w/ respect to compression.

My car is running. As long as I have some ATF, I can make it start everytime. We can check out both motors.

 

Mike, I'd suggest meeting up on Saturday to check out the engine. If it checks out, we could remove it Saturday. We could swap your engine in one day with plenty of time to spare, provided we start early and have had a chance to check out the donor. I'd be willing to do a swap Sunday if the motor checks out and schedules allow.

 

Crit, check your PMs when you have moment. I sent a PM to Collin also and I am working on getting the compression guage. I'll keep you posted. If we can check out the engine this weekend, maybe we could schedule the swap for next weekend, if it works for you.

I got my back tires put on today in the local little mexico for $20, balanced and everything! Flordia here I come. And after last nights rain, my car is still dry. Sweeet.

I am trying to work out a time tomorrow to get the compression guage from Collin. Can we shoot for Sunday afternoon (say 2:00) to test the engines? If it looks like it will work maybe we can start pulling the engine out of Kevin's car then.

 

Anyone know what size bolts are used for connecting the split air pipe to the cat? I'm guessing M8, but I don't have any to test with and the M10s I tried were too large.

 

I'm not available Sunday at 2 due to another commitment. I can stop by earlier and leave the engine hoist and a few special tools. If y'all would rather get together Saturday or any other time Sunday, I'm in.

 

Ill dig through my N&B collection and see if I have any...If not Ill take them off the turd and give em to you
