Gray Ghost Rides Again

I swapped in a new starter today and there was a hugh improvement in engine turnover during startup. The car has been starting flawlessly so far. I'll have to see how the next couple of days go. Autozone was nice enough to give me the 3rd starter since 2002. You have to love LLT warranty. I am really starting to appreciate Autozone. The starter actually passed their test, but the guy said it did not sound right to him and swapped it out anyway.

Kevin, I added the starter you gave me to the parts inventory. Next time someone needs a starter - we have one.

I'm on my 2nd starter from them and 3rd alternator, so I'm not a big fan of their re-manufactured parts. I've actuallly got the S5 alternator from the 'vert on my car now since it was my only spare when the last alternator went out. So the brand new one's just sitting on in my new parts shed

FLORDIA is awesome. Love it love it love it... I found a beautiful maroon S4 FC sitting in someones yard down here. If I could buy it cheap and get it back home, I'd totally swap everything on it. Anyways... pictures!

Guys, I am really sorry I missed what would have been my first OGTA meeting.

My wife was out of town, and my baby sitter cancelled on me. Trying to find a baby sitter at the last minute during spring break is a near impossibility.

After seeing the line up of cars, I was reminded of my 82 GS, and was looking forward to bringing my 88 Vert.

I look forward to May 5th.

ok so i was about to replace my caliper, and i cant get the ******* wheel off. i removed the old caliper and put the new rotor on about 2 days ago, then i just put the wheel back on and let the car sit for about 2 days, fedex delivered the caliper today, and when i went to take the wheel off it wouldnt come off, i tugged as hard as i could for over an hour and nearly through my back out trying to get it off.

any advice? i have never had anything like this happen before...i just wana replace my damn caliper!!

any advice?
Step 1: take out lug bolts
Step 2: beat the **** out of it
If step 1 or 2 dosent work proceed to step 3
Step 3: buy a new car

Josh like Kevin said, whack it with a hammer (rubber if you've got one). If that doesn't work hit the lugs with a propane torch, then do the malet again.

Dangerous way, but my friend did it as a last resort (he owns a honduh, so what you will read from here on out is from him. Silly honduhs)

Loosen the jugnuts a little bit then let the car back down. Rock the car back aond forth on the fender (side to side) and it will get loose.

So I made it back... I drove from Mobile to home in just about 6 hours. And i got a little over 24 mpg from when I filled up in Montgomery back home.

And I got to drive my uncle's turbo'd miata. It feels a decent bit faster than my FC, but nothing crazy. So god knows I'd never trade my car back to him for it

Those 2 parts and a cracked tag surround are the only things wrong with it though. The soft top's perfect, the engine is a 1.8 with like 100K miles, and it's got a small greddy turbo and cute little wastegate

Tomorrow I just might swap in that adjustable steering column with the new ignition and swap out the hatch and door locks so I can get rid of the light switch rigged under my dash . Fun fun for Easter.

And I got this so I could be like all the other rotary people. But, it's too big and it scraped the 20 feet it was on the car

I need something else to put in here so I dont feel like this whole post was so self obsessed.

So I missed another one due to not being prepared for a trip to panama city to watch my friend get married. But Grace did make it all the way there, around town multiple times, and back problem free. Racked up roughly 800 miles. Take that rotary haters!

Hey Brett, what kind of lip is that?

PCB! haha. I've got no damn clue about the lip I think it could be the stock S5 T2 one? But I really dont know. Only paid $120 for it and a set of GXL sawblade wheels with new tires.

I put about a grand on the FC, too. What gas mileage did you get in Grace? Collin and I got like 26? on the trip to Vermont in her.

And that red S5 FC with the Ford wheels is now my new background- I want those wheels now

So who still gets Easter baskets?

heh, I knew about the movie and blue. But, I was thinking Tim was saying one of his cars died. And,we all here call Ray, Blue. And then I was thinking old school rotaries, instead of "Old School" the movie. I just took it all out of context. But now I get it, he was watching the movie.
