Yeah, I cleaned the little screens and both of them are in good shape. Still no go! Arrrrggggh. I'm sure it's something stupid. Also, I removed the secondary vacuum spider - the granddaddy long-legs spider that was in one of the barrels. Maybe that little spider was what was keeping that thing running so well before!

Yes you can swap them out, though you will need all the s4 parts including alot of the trim pieces, both A-pillars, and the bits that go right behind the doors.

Yep, but totally worth it. Not only are they annoying, but they're recalled for safety issues.

I didn't mess with the float levels, and they looked level and even when I put it back together. So why am I not getting any fuel into the bowls? What say you, Nikki carb gods?
Check the screens inside the fuel line inlets/ outlets on the carb , both of them , they can become clogged with rust over time from the 23+ year tank , if thier was any blockage chances are it also got into the carb , is so clean them and if that doesnt help something else inside is blocked off or the floats are stuck closed , bad needle valve ect.

Screens are in good shape. After some help from the 1st gen forum we've pretty much determined that the new needles are sticking. After pulling off the air horn assembly twice and fiddling with the floats, I finally got the bowls to fill. Unfortunately, after it ran for a bit, they overflowed and flooded the hell out of the engine. So I took it apart again, played with the needles, and finally got it running for about 2 minutes with the proper fuel level. But then the fuel level dropped again and now I'm right back where I was, with it dying after a few seconds. So I'm going to revert back to the old needles and see if that works.

This thing better run like ******* platinum after all this trouble!

pfft jimi you know how 7's work, they get used to modifications then when you revert back to a stock setup they tend to want to kill you.

Well, all I'm doing is going back to the needles that were in there. Same part, just nice and worn in so they don't stick! If that doesn't work then I'll do the only reasonable thing... set the car on fire and roll it down the street on a journey to Valhalla.

I'm PMing you my cell number, Derrick. If you're gonna be through k-town or thereabouts sometime this afternoon then give me a call and we'll work out something with the helmet situation.

Actually, this car has been for sale all summer. I was trying to trade it for a bike. I already bought a bike but I'd probably still sell it if someone gave me the $1500 I was asking for it. The thread is here - https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=772620

Way too much info and plenty of pics there. Naturally that price is for the RUNNING car... I'm not gonna sell it in the non-running condition it's in right now. At the very least I'd throw a working carb on it first. Hopefully a trip to Jeremy's tonight will give me some clue as to what's going on.

Contrary to popular belief, I'm still alive. Hey Cody, I might need a ride to Jeremy's later, that's about it. I take it you're working today, so give me a call when you get a chance.

Cody I probably wont be back out towards knoxville for a while, resources are a bit thin at the moment, and yes if your removing the FPD and using a banjo bolt im quite positive ive got one sitting around on a core to reuse for that occasion, as ive already done the same mod to my own car.

Hey rotorheads,

Check out the Blue Ridge Rotary Run that will be held on October 25th and 26th here:
https://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-forum-35/oct-25-26th-b3r-778536/

A few spaces are left for the group campsite. This will be a nice fall run on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

That sounds pretty good, I've been meaning to get out on BRP for a while now. It's still a bit far out but I might be in on that.
