Thanks guys. Those Escort fans do their share of cooling. I haven't had any issues with the TII getting hot since I installed mine. Even running for over an hour straight in a 95+ degree parking lot didn't phase it. I need to put one on my intercooler!
Yeah, love my escort fan, though Im still going to upgrade the radiator to a nice koyo eventually, especially since the current radiator cant be trusted to fix its own leaks and has plenty of fubar'd fins. Kinda sad i missed the auto-cross, though hopefully the concert in atlanta tuesday will more than make up for me missing out. maybe next time ill show up to do something other than blow smoke....or maybe find some cheapass bumpers to finish my swaps...

I'll hopefully still have a running RX-7 by then. As long as I don't go broke from daily driving a TII.

Sounds like you need to trade your Legacy for a 1st gen. Because I know someone who has an '85 GSL for sale. '85 Mazda for a '97 Subaru, that's a good deal, right!?
Hopefully you guys can keep it/get it together and make the run.

There she blows.

I've been trying to get it to run after the carb rebuild for the past few pages of this thread. So no, it's not in running condition right now but I wouldn't sell it that way anyway. I'm going to replace the floats today and see if I can finally get it back on the road. Then I'm going to rebuild the slave cylinder and see about sealing up that leak at the top of the radiator. So half of its little issues should be fixed.

Mmmmm concert was a blast, though due to the rain we had to get going before we got too hosed down, only missed Disturbed and Slipknot's sets, but wasnt going to sit out in the rain for 3 more hours to catch those shows. But 13/15 bands isnt bad for what it was. Got to rock out and see a few bands ive wanted to see live.
bleh, well replaced the injector lower grommets, she's still idling all fucked up. I checked for vac leaks, no dice there, I even pulled a line or two off just to see if the idle would change, nope not one bit, might check something else...

TPS
BAC... is yours removed?
MAF
O2 sensor
MAP sensor
Also, did you check for a vacuum leak at the brake booster? Pinch that hose and see if it changes any.
both my tps's are within spec, bac shouldnt matter(so says landers anyway) though its going to be removed sooner or later, MAF works though could be the issue, O2 sensor shouldnt be the cause or else I would have horrid MPG, and wtf is a MAP sensor? And which hose do you speak of for the brake booster, the one on the passenger side or the drivers?

Also, the Cheeto RUNS! So far so good, I've had it around the neighborhood. Thanks Jeremy for the spare carb! I swapped the floats out and the fuel levels finally got where they should be. It still hesitates when I stomp the gas below 2k, but it's a lot smoother. Seems way easier to drive now. And it no longer idles high when it warms up. Also, thanks Cody for helping me pull those carbs apart again. I hope you enjoyed the preview of what you're in store for when you get a first gen!
Tomorrow it's getting some fresh gas, premix, and some driving to make sure there's no kinks. Then it'll be time to pull apart the clutch slave and stop that leak once and for all.

Oh, and the brake booster vacuum line runs right into the booster itself, but check it along the entire length because there's more silicone lines on the other side of the hard line.
No just a the s4 tps, but i have a pair of them in good condition. My bac should be fine since its never really had to work hard since ive owned it, though all it does is bump th e idle up IF the ac button is depressed and working, which I dont have either. I could check the pressure sensor, though its a long shot lol, and I think all my booster lines are still groovy as well.
