Congratulations Ricky, keep it up and she'll be brapping sideways around the turns in no time.

I dont know about the rest of you guys, but this past weekend really felt like a step towards spring road-trip season. I say after a good rain or two to get the salt off the road we try and hit up Shenandoah. What do you think?

Made a good push on Saturday and got the rx7 up a running (it starts on it's own now )

made a last minute decision to hit up the autocrosser's inc. autocross in waldorf on sunday:

Also picked up a trailer the same day, since my tires don't fit in my car anymore with the roll bar...

driving to the auto-x:

When I went to my megasquirt 3X, it changed the circuit I was using for the crank angle sensor noise conditioning and it wasn't robust enough to filter out the noise from my starter. It would push start every time, just wouldn't start with the starter...

so Ken (Muythaibxr) wired up a new conditioning circuit in my megasquirt which filters out all the noise much better.

I also re-wired by batter and replaced my 46 lb optima yellow top with a 16 lb Yausa motorcycle battery. and it starts my car no problem

yeah, they trailer is pretty sweet. I'll be especially helpful when I switch up to much bigger wheels/tires in a bit...

Great day for an AutoX too. Looks like fun. I haven't been to a proper big lot event in the better part of 10 years. LMK next time you plan on going to one of these. Still gotta get my power rack rebuilt so I can swap out this manual rack before AutoXing again but it'll be fine for the track.

Nice trailer. I'm getting new tires this season but without any means of transporting extra wheels, they'll be street tires again. Thinking maybe Z2s.

It was an awesome day... I'm all sun-burned to prove it.

I'll be at every WDCR Fedex event this year. Not sure if I'll get to another AI event... Waldorf is pretty far away.

Z2s are supposed to be awesome, but I've read the new BFG Rivals are supposed to be even better... but a lot of the sizes aren't available yet... and judging by tread pattern alone, they probably won't be as good in the rain an the Z2s.

I got a set of NT01s for the FC to go under my new fenders >_>

Yeah no problem on this route. We've been dong this one for a couple years now so it is a bit more polished then the Tour-de-DC route we ran in the fall. We've mixed it up among the restaurants in Front Royal in the past. Although, last year we found an excellent BBQ place that I wouldn't mind again.

Right now there's no Z2 in 275 for a 17" wheel so I'd have to get a 255 for the back. Not sure if I should wait and see if additional sizes come out. Tirerack doesn't know if they will or not

Drove the car today after a short hiatus and definitely got the itch for more! Keep me posted on the road trip Rocky...I hope to make it. Hopefully I can make some auto-x events this year too.

My LIM leak is finally fixed but now my 2nd turbo is leaking air somewhere...which it wasn't doing before the shop worked on it. Annoying. What are the chances they didn't plug in a solenoid or left a hose unattached vs just sheer dumb coincidence and luck? Anyways...it still runs and I look forward to some events.

Hi, we usually meet in Manassas at an IHOP, head out 211 to Skyline drive, take that to Front Royal for lunch, and then head back on 66 toward the city from there. Here is a previous thread: LINK (pics start on page 4 courtesy of Jack). Quite a drive up for you, but we are always happy to meet another rotary.

H Duc, It's good to hear you have the car out and about again. I'm looking forward to seeing you at an AutoX in the near future sometime. They aren't the same without an FD out there. (I've been driving the FB too much). You know this weekend is a two day event right?

Hmm, ya that's about a 3 hour drive. I've done that cruise in the Bimmer though, ended at the Blue Ridge Brewery, beautiful drive! Any of you going to DGRR 2013?

Fixed the front main seal, lined up the pulley properly, as well as making sure the trigger wheel was not F-ed up in the process. Now the car will idle, but breaks up during reving at 2400 and wont go past 3K without bad backfiring. AFRs go a bit lean but my map seems to be pretty solid. Super frustrating, debating on going from stage 9 to stage 7 plugs and going from there.

Anyone got some advice?

sounds like the timing is off.

did you put a timing light on it and set the timing?

Speaking of breweries, my wife recently took a job as a brewer for Heavy Seas.

I would love to go to some. I have been going to Dulles for a class these past few weeks (got 22.5 mpg in the rx7) and am around the corner from Lost Rhino. Is it any good?
