Saturdays In Raleigh, Nc
Mine should be back together by mid February...maybe sooner.
Who is up for having their 7s tuned sometime in early spring?
Ray, Rick hasn't made it down to Rotorsports for tuning yet, has he? I need to email him again, but don't like bugging him at work and I don't think he checks the yahoo address very often.

Sounds good maybe I can work out something with Rotorsports.
I know someone mentioned something about trying to get Demetrius(sp?)
I am going to write Rotorsports this afternoon and see what they can do for is if we get X amount of 7s.

Couldn't you used nitrous in first gear, maybe a 50 shot, to help get it past 4K. At these RPMS, and with the low boost, the fuel system should be able to supply enough fuel to do the job and keep the car safe. Once the turbo kicks in, it is all boost, and life is good through the rest of the gears! just a thought. I thought about trying a sneaky pete bottle with a 25shot to see gauge how well it works.
Rotorsports is right, that the turbo won't hit FULL boost until 5K, but you have to think it is still producing boost at lower RPMS. The turbo I have is huge, but you can feel it kick in at around 4K even though it hasnt hit full boost yet. I test drove it running about 10PSI and it still felt a hell of a lot faster than my twins, even in first.
On another note, and I am sure there is a way to figure it out, but I wish I could tell how much quicker my turbo would spool if I moved from the .81 A/R to the .68. As in how much sooner in the RPM range would it hit full boost.

is it the shock to the system that makes this more dangerous than at higher RPMS.
i would have thought that the opposite was true. that this would be easier on the engine since the fuel system could more readily supply the fuel. of course if i know little about turbos i know nothing about nitrous.

Just go with a to4e, you can get 400+ with the right setup pretty easy. Anything more then that, your going to be going through transmissions, defferentials, and axles. I dont think you are looking for much more then that. This is what i am planning on putting on my car in the futer.
A t-66 with at agressive SP will put you close to 550, thats a little to much for a street car.
By they way, hope your planning on going with a microtech or haltech. Anything more then 350 or so is tough with the stock ecu. It can be done, but its not very safe.

Josh,
Rick hasn't gone yet for tuning. It will probably be a little while. He just got his wideband in and had the exhaust leak fixed, and I think he's finally going to replaceh is bumper that was messed up in a parking lot hit-and-run a year ago. If I hear anything more I'll let you know.

I hope to see Rick at one of the meets soon, but if you talk to him tell him we are trying to get a group together for a tune.
Taylor, you're damn right your still in.
Do you remember who the guy that was talking about having Demetrius down was? I will dig many pages back if you don't remember. The car doing well?
I'm trying to work something out with rotorsports for sometime in mid/late March if that time frame is cool with everyone. I will keep everyone posted, to see if we get a break or what ever else.
So far I have Taylor, Rob, and I with FDs, and TO with a TII. I hope Rick will be interested in going.

900 in a 2 rotor... im not seeing this happen. 3 rotor maybe. jesus padilla is all natural with a bridge port and he's running 9's. 900 hp in an FC chassis is like putting a 350 on a unicycle. the car would have to have soo many structural supports that there would be no car left. you need to build a chassis around a motor for power like that. i still cant get over 900 hp, no offence, i got a lil laugh outta that one.
Play nice, Dave.
I wanted to see how close he could make it. I was thinking maybe 600-700 Flywheel.
It might be hard, but I would never say anything is impossible. It's all a matter of $$$.

Yeah I think somebody's got some high expectations for such and itty-bitty motor. I can maybe see somebody running to that hp once or twice on a 2 rotor with a 200 shot of nitrous but nothing you're gonna be able to do regularly. A 3 rotor would be your best bet... either that or a different car. hehe
Yeah, it was allrotor93... a guy by the name of Jonathan. He was the guy that just listed his on ebay though (Red with the FEED front end).
He had one of those R85 singles in it, and it was JUST put in so I have no idea if he'd still be in or not.
My car's doing ok at the moment, the new clutch arrived but I still haven't ordered a flywheel. So other than that and a minor oil leak, interior pieces going to ****, and the 2 dents in the rear (one of which just started to freakin rust)... It's great!
BTW - can anybody recommend a good bodywork guy that does work for a decent/cheap price? It doesn't have to be perfect just as long as the paint matches... I can do the rest.

I have to agree with dave, 900 hp can't be done with out some major frame mods being done. You wouldn' be able to keep any of the stock driver terain as well. Even at 650, your going to be going through rearend and stuff. I just hope your ready do dump that much money into it to maintain it. I was thinking about building a 650 hp car at one time, but after i did a little research, i changed my mind. Just remember that you dont have a mustang here. These thangs way about 2750 with the driver. You dont need the HP that a mustang or supra needs. These things will haul *** even around the 300 hp range. Shoot, my car was putting out 250 at the wheels and it scared the **** out of most people that rode with me. If your gonna build a car with them much power, more power to ya. But if i had some money and i wanted that much hp, 3 rotor all the way.

Yeah I think any one who say you lead the GRR would be scared.
Ill call you before this weekend.

From what I remember at our VIR adventure you got plenty of power and more than your brother can handle.
Are you going to make it down to the Drive-In this Saturday?
