It took forever to get the engine & trans. out of the car and a couple weeks to get the flywhee nut off, but tearing down the engine after that was fairly easy. (The flywheel nut was so hard to remove, we did a victory dance when it finally loosened).
Yeah, we do have a meet in about 10 minutes, I'll be late.

 

I won't be able to make the zoo trip but Stina will. We tried to convince Bert to change the date to the following weekend, since I'm underway till then, but it was too late. I'll be at the meet the following weekend though. And yes, I let Bert know I wanted a T-shirt and Stina is getting him the money since I can't till I get back. As for the pic, I'll email it now. Thanks.

I blew the end tank on my Saab intercooler. It was a used one anyway I have a NEW one on the way. I had installed new couplers and I think I must have had it in a bind. Hopefully water injection and wideband installation this week.

When the cops showed up, I ran over and jumped in his car, and we started to leave the parkinglot with the rest of our group. Some stupid chick cut us off in her POS Honda... grrr. Anyway... we're leaving the lot, and wait at the stop sign, and the cop zips right in behind us. We pull out, and the cop turns on his lights. Damn. Josh was CREEPING out of the lot to begin with, too... so we had NO clue why he was pulling us over.

We turn into the next entrance, and the cop takes his sweet-*** time to walk up to the car. He gets there and asks Josh for his license and registration, and asks him if he is aware that his tail light for the license plate was out. Josh had no clue, since the poor guy hadn't driven the FD in forever cuz of work and gas prices... but he didn't say anything to the cop, just stayed cool and took the BS.

The cop took FOREVER to write the damn ticket... I was so mad I didn't have my camera so I could get a pic of the cop car in the side mirror. Anyway, when the cop finally came back, he gave Josh the ticket, and said it was a $10 fine, and to be more careful next time. (Or some BS like that.) HE GAVE HIM A TICKET FOR A LIGHT OUT!! OMG!! The light was out cuz the poor thing was rear-ended not too long ago!! Ugh. SO gay.

I blame it on the biatch in the Honda that could have waited two seconds later to pull out... then SHE could have gotten a ticket for something! *curses at women drivers*

What a BS ticket. Anyway, that's my crappy version of the story. Josh would tell it better. I'm surprised he hasn't come on and griped about it sooner.

 

It's cool. I think David will be able to handle the job.

We all went to Capital after the meeting. Bert, you must have missed me jumping in Josh's car when we all left char-grill. The guy with the VR-4, Ray, Greg, and some other people all drove up to Capital and we met up near the mall in one of the parking lots.

I rode with Josh because I didn't wanna drive by myself to Capital. Plus, it's more fun to show up in a car that's cooler than your own.

DANG! Ticket for license plate light out?! I would say you could fight it using the accident as a reason with proof...but $10 isn't worth the hassle. Sorry bro. Glad that's all it was.

I PM'd ya about that motor a couple of weeks ago. I got one now, but i was pretty interested in it. Are those new housings and irons as well?

 

Josh, if you show up at court and explain to the DA that you had been rear-ended he'll hopefully just drop the charge and you'll only have to pay the $100 court fee.

 

Yeah, but it's only 10 damn dollars... let's see... 2 hours MINIMUM wasted at the courthouse in line, or spend $10 extra dollars? If he doesn't have connections to get out of it, he should just pay the thing. You lose more in gas, parking, and money that you COULD be getting paid at work to go blow some $ at the courthouse downtown.

 

hmm well it's not a moving violation actually so I don't think it would affect his insurance. So yeah he's better off just sending it in.
