"Oh, and by the way", he started. "In the future, you might want to watch your onramp speed. Wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her now, would you?"
"No sir! I'll be careful". I guess that constituted my warning.

You lucky dawg.....

Cool, glad you went to them. Rick is honest and straight up and will stand behind his work.

Worse case on your window thingy, if it is a switch those things are on Ebay all the time or you can go to Mazdatrix or a dealer and get new ones. Might even want to check the 2nd gen for sale section of the forum to see if anyone has one. Heck, PM Steve (Smoken), he prolly has one or two!

Well, I think he's going to order some generic switches and we'll wire them up just like the original switch was wired. That and we'll cut some plexiglass and set it in the door panel. It won't be original or even nice looking, but something tells me it will be far more reliable than those crappy switches.

Beth, condolences on not winning the bet, just needed to pay the cop a little more to scare Doug. Now he is gonna be more careful driving 440.

Great story Doug, did you get pictures? You should've given the guy one of the RRDI business cards and invited him to the next drive-in. What were you thinking?

Paul, thanks for posting your name, its kinda embarassing to have a new person show up for a drive-in and not remember their name. Come to a second meet and you'll satisfy the membership requirements!

Good luck on the window switch Dan, that's what's so much fun owning a rotary, you get to fix'em and actually make them better than they were before they broke. Can't wait to see that car again and the work Greg's buddy did for you.

Remember the RRDI shirts guys. Ray has a buddy that has told him that he can do us a better deal thru the place where he works, Ray said he'd check into it when he gets back into town from NOPI. We may have some good news on Saturday, if the guy's boss OK's the deal he quoted to Ray. Stay tuned!

I can...

13b4me@mynetrocks.com

You have an FD right? Do they have the plastic filler necks like S5's?
If so, you may want to check for cracks near the edge... Seems like a common problem...

Now seeing that you have a S4 FC... There's an o-ring at the bottom of the plastic piece the cap screws onto, and it's been known to fail... You can try replacing that first, and if it's not that, you'll need a new cap assembly (not just the cap)...

Here's the o-ring http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.as...m=15-1740-N326

Here's the cap assembly assuming you're N/A http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.as...m=15-17YA-N326

Cap assembly if you're turbo http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.as...m=15-17Y0-N323

I highly doubt it's anything else, but if this doesn't work, shoot me a PM and we'll try to get it figured out...

Dexter and Pinky

Everyone that made the Deals Gap trip remembers Dex and his fuscia FD. I just got word from Johny that he recently had a bad wreck and looks like the car is totalled. From what Johny learned thru a PM from Dex he was lucky to comeout of the wreck without serious injury.

Here is a pic of Dex and Pinky in better days at Deals Gap:

I have thought about riding up to visit him this Sunday to see how he is doing and to let him know we are thinking about him. I will print off the photo of him and the Graham County Sheriff's Deputy and I thought those that went on the Deals Gap trip could sign it with your sentiments and I'd buy a frame to put it in and take it to him from the RRDI. We may also buy him and his Dad a couple of tickets to the VIR races in October. If anyone wants to contribute to the photo or VIR tickets you can pitch in Saturday evening and if you want to ride up on Sunday, if Johny can figure out where he lives we'll take a Sinday drive up to Virginy.

Allright, well I am back at it again.... After owning a 240 for a couple months, and then wrecking it, I am looking for a car again....

Is anybody selling a running FC?... I've had no luck finding anything else to buy...

Okay, as long as the person in the lead knows where and when the driveway they want to pull off into is coming up. Comes in handy when you are trying to avoid a multi-car pileup...

You rotary drivers might want to check out this thread in the lounge. It is by Dexter a guy who met us on our trip to Deals Gap last April. He had a beautiful fuscia FD and recently had a bad accident in it. Here is the thread and pics he posted in the Lounge, https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=464050. Something to remember when you're out driving that car you love so much. Anything can happen at any time.

Ouch, that really sucks, glad that he and his passenger were able to walk away. It really does help you step back and look at the situation and say, you know what, it's just a car. Car's don't have families. Stuff like this reminds me of my first wreck.

Again, glad he's ok.

OK I got the point. But can a rotary owner ever really follow the crowd? Doesn't that violate everything we beleive in?

And Doug, Rotaries go fast, they have a hard time slowing down. Sorry about the quick stop.
