I'd say its time we all get together and caravan our rotaries out to a Mudcats or Durham Bulls game, and take Josh with us.
Sounds like a plan, but if we're taking Josh with us we better go on Kid's night.

very funny guys.

i think we should make an effort to go down to he track. i think christina mentioned that earlier. i went down to dunn-benson last night. i hadn't been to the track in a while. if we get there early we can get a few runs in before it gets crowded, then kick back and watch the other guys run. the track is in really good shape and fairly well lit, food, portajohns, etc. just a thought. we could also hit fayetteville, i just thought benson would be closer and less crowded. I wouldnt mind hitting the track with the FD a few times.

bert, i like the logo. looks good. i actually went and sat in a miata (i know, i know, i just wonder if i can wash it off) i didnt fit comfortably in it. i mean my FD is tight, but damn the miata was too much. maybe if i lost 40lbs and wore penny loafers i might fit.

If you wear penny loafers, you're gonna be my sugar daddy... you won't need ME to be your sugar mama!

Come on man get your ECU outa your muffler, one has a rotary engine and one does not! Where's the confusion

And Josh, I don't know what to think, you seemed to overcome your attraction to little girls and now you have fantasies of owning a miata now that you've got the FD roadworthy? Are you serious? Are you trying to tell us and your girlfriend something? Remember the "miata guys" at Deals Gap? I'd say its time we all get together and caravan our rotaries out to a Mudcats or Durham Bulls game, and take Josh with us. The guy is getting too lite on his feet. Anyone up for a manly night of baseball and rotaries? Yeah Christina, you are welcomed and encouraged to join us. Maybe you can remind Josh of how handsome and dashing he is in his rotary machine.
Bert, I drove an 05 8 today. Its new and the dealer is talking great numbers. It has all the buttons except the nav system. I think I'm too dumb to use that anyway. need to find a 10 year old to ride around and show me how the use that. Can you believe they charge $395.00 for the spare tire option? Anyway, I will probably be sighning the papers next week. Oh yes, it does indeed have a clutch. Stay tuned.

Im Backkkkkkkkkk

Whats up guys, I just got done sifting through all the post. Looks like the whole place has gone to sh*t S2000, miata, I cant believe this I leave for 2 weeks and look what happens.

Anyway Ill keep this short as I can .
First I have my Microtech installed and I pulled 280 at 15psi at the wheels, I was hoping for 300 but it was about 9000 degrees in Fla. Car ran beautiful all the way down and back. I left Orlando 4:00 pm and got here today at 4:00 am. These guys know what there doing. I could have ran some race gas and got a few more ponys but I wanted to be safe. I saw a couple of dyno pulls a acura RSx turbo Fmic and and alot of Mugen crap it pulled 238 an audi tt about 202.

I had to lay the smack down on a mustang on I 95 on the way home we were rolling about 70 mph I probably should have ran in third but I started in 4th we were dead even for about 3 seconds as boost built I pulled at least 6 car lengths.
It was a GT is sounded nice, I dont what he was running, before I knew it I was running about 120mph.

Bert I like the logo

Anyway Im back happy and exhausted Ill post more later
Johny

Glad to hear that you made the right decision Lee. Did I tell you I had a nav system installed in my FC for the Deals Gap trip? It was my wife with a North Carolina DOT map! It work great most of the time.

Johny, glad to hear you made it back safely. See how the kids act when the grown ups are away. I missed the last drive-in due to a trip to Tennessee and they're talking all kinds of crap about piston engines, American made cars Steve runs off to someplace called Texas to get married, etc, we got to whip this group back in shape and I can't do it by myself.

Greg, be there and we'll all rev our engines, point the exhaust at you and guarantee to clean your sinuses and kill that rhinovirus on the spot. There ain't a virus, or human for that matter, that can stand up to a good dose of roatry exhaust.

I like your idea of doing a thong bikini and using the RRDI logo patches as the major part of the upper half of the bikini.

Johny, can your guy make us some windshield decals that could go on the inside of the glass?

Everyone remember that the RRDI is tomorrow at 6:30 PM at the Strickland Road Char Grill . . . .

OK guys for those of you that got to see my 10th AE, it will be the last...for a while. becuase as we speak i am taking apart the engine bay and removing the engine. here are some pics of how much work i got done tonight.

if anyone can give me some advice on pulling a turbo motor I'm all ears, because right now all im doing is taking the manifold of seperating the engine and tranny and pulling them out by them selves. so does anyone know if i can just pull both out together?

first picture is at like 9:30 and the second one is at like 11:30

still undecided. the one i sat in previously seemed smaller, but there was definitely room in that one. it would be a fun little car i think. i just gotta make sure not to spend any money trying to butch it up. if i get one i gotta keep in mind that it was bought to drive the snot out of, not another project.

I'm not sure about a T2, but in the FB you can pull out the engine and tranny together, but it's a little bit of a pain. You have to lift the engine out at a very specific angle so that you can lift it up and away but still have the tranny on it and not hit your hood.

Personally, I'd say the transmission is easy enough to remove, just yank it off first and then lift the engine out by itself. Then put the two back together when it's out of the car, just don't forget which tranny bolt goes where since they are all different lengths.
