het barry, thanks a ton for the boost guage and new clip. Everything seems to work well. It seems i am running a consistant 9psi and 10psi on a 5th gear pull. So it seems ill need to get some sort of fuel control now. Anyone know where i can get some info on the RTEK stuff? Oh and thanks for the compliments on the paint job.

There will be a few of us Mazda drivers at the NASA event this weekend at The Rock. I just ran the FD there last weekend and will be doing it again ....WHOO HOO!

hey peoples. i will be there this saturday but probably not til 8:00 or so. Of course nobody would have thought anything of it last year, but I have been on a streak for showing up on time and even early, lately.

Het mmmJesse, what is the deal with people painting their drift cars camouflage, There are two 240's around here that are into drifting painted the same way, I was just curious if I was missing something.

Hey Josh, you must've meant 8:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time, I left about 10:15 and didn't see you. Ray told us that you and Rick had gone down to RSR to dyno and tune your FDs. Rick has a boost leak and you had some spark plug problems? What is going on with y'alls cars? Oh yeah, I almost forgot y'all drive the Fiscally Demanding rotaries. You missed a pretty good Drive-In, it was the night of the FCs. Bobby cameout in his RX8, we had a new FB show up and it brought its owners. Taylor rolled in around 8:00 EDT and he was the only FD to make it tonight.

 

you cant forget the real late comers too, im not sure if you were still there bert when the late FCs came in from jacksonville. we finally left at about 12:10 after starting up the rotaries and standing in front of them in silence

 

It was good meeting all yall on saturday. I hate i missed all the late comers. Maybe next time ill be able to hang around.

Damn, if I had known some of you were staying that late I would have come. I had to work until aobut 8:30, but could have gotten there in less than an hour.

 

i dont think any of us planned to stay that late we just kept talking and talking and i guess we just didnt feel like leaving

I have to work, but you should go Jesse even if its by yourself. Maybe I can see who will be running and drop some names for you.

The Rock was was a blast. The oval portion is far more work than you might imagine. The infield road course section is not as tricky as VIR, but still loads of fun. There were 4 RX-7s running 2 in the HPDEs and 2 in the races. Would have been better if there were more drivers...like you guys.

Other cars included: Lotus Elise, Cobra kit cars, Vettes and other big Amercan iron, LOTs of BMWs. You should have seen the 13 year old in the Miata schooling guys with M3s, STis, Cobras.

My FD was flawless. Reliable and fast if not as sexy as some of the other cars.

I wouldn't be that pissed. The NA's aren't known for there HP, there known for there handling ability. Take it out in the country and have some fun on the back roads.

 

Don't be so hard on your FC... it's still fun to drive, right? Keep in mind that 100 rwhp in a car as light as yours still puts the car faster than 90% of everything on the road. Plus, you haven't touched your exhaust yet, you haven't really seen the potential of that engine.

 

If any local guys are intersted, i'm thinking about selling my GXL. She runs strong and has been a great daily driver. Has pretty new tires on it. Only mods are Header and exhaust. The motor has been rebuilt, but i dont know how many miles it has on it. Would like to get $2000...

 

Oh yea... Especially with those TII shocks and springs...
