Sorry guys still getting used to doing this on my cell. I doubled up on photos by accident. There's the engine/tranny/headers. I can better pics if need be. I'd rather not even haul this stuff to GA since I won't have the room. I don't deal items like this regularly. Up here in Ohio I've had a big machine shop for 36 years and storing these items wasn't a big deal. Being reduced to a two car garage is going to be quite an adjustment. Im asking $800.00 for engine/tranny as a pair. The header is old from 1986-7. It has about 70k miles on it but was cleaned, armour coated. It was on this engine I'm selling since new. I am bringing backup parts for mine that came off this same car. I'll include a pic of the car it all came out of. This was my car back in the day.. Long story short I bought it back last summer wishing to finish but instead stripping it of backup parts. Let me know if anyone is interested. My other half looks to be moving in mid April so if anyone wants these items they can ship down with her.

I am parting it our Carlos, I need to recover at least some of the cash I put in to it to get the wheels (Cathy says I paid too much). I'll send a pm.

Ray, why would you part out that nice car? Wanna sell the whole thing minus wheels?

Hi Ben, thanks for the offer! My original plan was to use my 84/85 parts to put it back together, I have pretty much everything it would need, although I'd have to build the motor first and I don't have a hood.

But once I came to my senses and took a closer look I realized it will take more work and money than I want to put into it. Unfortunately it has more value in it's parts than I could get as a roller, those red interior parts fetch good bucks on ebay.

Those wheels were temporary to roll it around. They had the wrong lug pattern that was drilled out to allow mounting to move around but not drivable

Craaazy! I've seen many of your posts. Hope we meet someday. Long story behind that wide body. Close friend started the project back in 2000. A bitter divorce left him destroyed and progress came to a stop. It sat a long time. I bought it back from him and wanted to finish it but ended up parting it out. Another long story. It was originally mine from 88-92. I've seen this wide kit finished in black, and with right wheels I think it's really cool. Many parts from that car are now in my current 85se.

Now we're talking. Nothing like the lines of an unmolested FB. Very pretty.

Ray, can't wait to see your 83 on the road. What do you call an 83, an SB or FA?

80 was the cutoff, so the 83 is definitely an FB. Big question is whether it's a big- or small-bearing car and whether it has an oil cooler up front or was a beehive. Those were the big changes for 83.5

Thanks for the 83.5 details Crit, that's new to me. So this one has the beehive, does that make it a large bearing rear end, the same as found in the 84/85 cars?

Mike, the FB will be on the road soon, I guarantee it. I'm not going to tell you when or how but believe me, it's going to happen. I have people working on it, smart people, not like those idiots in Washington. It's going to be terrific, I guarantee.

Better to get a Metropolitan Mr. Tools, they have higher resale value.

My dad had one (two, actually, with the parts car) and he loved it.

It was a turquoise two-tone, all the rage back in the early '60's:
