Nice OGTA meet despite the rain.

I was traveling from Raliegh to Charlotte last night around 5 when I got this call from Ray:

Ray: "Hey, hows it going"
Tim: "Great, I'm enroute from Raliegh to Charlotte in my rx7"
Ray: <garbled>
Tim: "I got a new job and have to got to Raliegh somtimes or I would be there at the OGTA tonight."
Ray: <garbled>
Ray: "Who am I talking to?"
Tim: "Tim Farrell, TG, t_g_farrell"
Ray: " Your not Gene!. I was calling Gene. How's it going Tim?"

Of course this whole conversation is happening while we are both driving our 7s, so at times
we couldn't hear well and what not. Classic old guy communication at its best. Ray I'm sorry I
wasn't Gene when you called but it was good to hear from you.

Tim, I was trying to reach DEAN on the phone last night, not GENE.

Anyway, it was good talking to you, I just don't know how we got 5 minutes into it without knowing who I was talking to.

No Marco, I haven't been able to find anything on those early FD days. What color was that car anyway, I'll keep looking.

But I think I was thinking of this FD and another guy, Mike's his name I think, who doesn't even look like you.

But hey, I was relying on a ten year old memory, so cut me some slack.

Oh, and sorry I couldn't make it to the meet on Tuesday. It was pouring rain and I had to go work on my sister's car so she could get to work.

 

It wasn't a problem after we got it home Ray. Getting it home, that's a pretty good (and long) story.

Hmm, my 10 rotor is showing up. Didn't think that was until tomorrow.

 

Congrats Tim on achieving your 10 Rotor! Now you are out of excuses for missing the OGTA meetings!

You can't blame me for getting banned Greg, I didn't even get my account until July 2002, months after your IP was already getting banned (I'll be getting my 10 Rotor next summer). Your banned IP was probably caused by all those liberal web sites you were visiting back then.

You're right Mike, there sure are a lot of 10 rotors showing up in OGTA land. Even Brett has his 5 Rotor and is working on his 10 in a couple years.

Zach and Kevin are coming up too. In a year or two there will be more 10 rotors in the metro Atlanta area than the rest of the world combined.

 

I am gonna get a day off before Christmas and was wondering if anyone wanted to do a Christmas meet? Friday Dec 23. Its been awhile and would love to see some cars and people. Anyone interested?

 

I am on my 8th yr, looking forward to my 10 yr rotor in a couple yrs....lol

I'm in town and have the day off. It's been years since we've had a Christmas holiday meeting. I'd think a few of us could get together. Name the place and time Roland.

 

I was thinking an after Christmas meet . Cory will be in from Christmas till New Years. Maybe an after Christmas tuesday meet.
