So I saw red 85 GSL today on 400 North around exit 5. I thought it was Alex's mom, but it turned out to be a black guy. Anyone know who it is? Their tag said 85 RX7.

I think it was a reproduction.

Mazda has finally figured out that the 85 GSL was the best car they ever built so they opened up a plant in Mexico to start manufacturing them again, kind of like VW did with the bug all those years until it went mainstream again.

We should start seeing a lot more "85" GSLs on the road in the coming months. Life is good.

Yeah, Right now im on Re-speed pricing camber vs coilover kits, and a new shocks I need both right and left front and rear shocks... and im on lowering springs so i need something to adjust my wheels angle to the ground.... what is a better buy for that? camber plates or the coil over kit??

also what do you guys suggest as far as shocks. im looking to set the car up for more aggressive driving, so, possibly autox or drifting, or track days.. but not to actually race, just for those open weekends when there's cheap events. but i want something thats more intuitive than stock i guess.

Coil overs will not allow you to change the camber - only camber plates will do that (minus adjustable lower control arms).

Coil overs would probably be extreme in your case. Stick with the aftermarket lowering springs and Tokico blues for shocks. Illumina adjustable are not needed for your proposed use.

Yeah, I was actually going to call you with in the next few weeks after i saved the money to make the purchase Billy. lol

I figured youd see this until then. I plan on slamming the car to the ground.... well not the ground, but I want a pretty low center of gravity, I want to attempt to get a similar look that the 911 GT2 has from the factory, as far as ground Clarence and wheel fitment.

So I assumed that i would need coil overs and better springs to achieve that. I also plan on buying your front sway bar, and a big brake kit eventually.

Also... Im still having a electrical issue, where the battery is being drained when the car is off. I've found a semi fix by pulling one of the fuse-able links out every time i park the car for more than 10 mins to keep the batter from being drained, but i was wonder what could possibly be the cause of my issue.

Ive checked my grounds, pulled my radio to check for miss wire-ing, ive gotten new battery terminal connectors, and a brand new battery... Would some of the engine upgrades ive done be a cause? the battery i have is just plainly under powered for the Weber? or am I just over looking something simple?

-_______- thanks for reading my book of an update lol.

Best thing to do is to get a current measuring meter, and go through circuits to see what is drawing power when the car is off. It's a pain. Although if you already have it down to 1 fusible link, you'd only have the check the circuits on that link. There shouldn't be anything that draws the power down that quickly. There is a circuit with a problem somewhere.

Billy is of course right on the suspension. Just don't go overboard on spring rates. Listen to him on those.

Chad is in town with his family and wants to get together with the rotorheads for dinner tonight or tomorrow night. I know Chad is a week early for our regularly scheduled OGTA meeting. Now who is willing and able to come out two weeks in a row? Or if you can't make both weeks, come out to at least one.

I'm going to let Billy post up where we are going to meet up, the date and time.

Take it away Billy.

They're Rubber.

You got good advice on the shocks, springs, camber plates. I am running Eibach Prokits and Tokico Blues. I like the set up. But the Eibachs aren't avaible anymore. The key is they are progressive rate springs so the car is still streetable, lower the car about an inch. I believe ReSpeed has a comperable progressive rate spring. The Tokico Blues are available and reasonably priced.

Ray, you have to make a 2nd meeting in one month soon. Are you going to make the Mitty on the weekend and then the regular OGTA meet two days later?

Sorry you didn't get to make it Roland, heck by the time we see you next, it will have to be a special meeting for an out of towner. We miss you, so let us know when you want to visit with all of us, a few of us will make it out.
