What a great 13B swap project that F150 would make.

You know your wife would love it if you the first thing you did was start to take that truck apart.

She already threatened me to not start messing with it.

First priority is a cooler to replace the middle seat/armrest

I'm actually just going to steal parts off of it to use in my SA (shhh, don't tell Ray)

Oh, and I have a new batch of Cider layed down in bottles and a high octane abbey
ale as well with a nice session stout coming up too. So I think I will be ready for the
bday bash with plenty of pourables.

Nice Truck Tim and Happy Birthday!

That buggy will be useful for hauling the Home Brew down to the Annual Mitty. Be sure to whip up lots of that High Octane for the track this summer.

I sure wish you were my neighbor, I could borrow your truck for those trips to Home Depot and the dump.

Mike, you'd need 4 13B's, one at each wheel, to generate the torque that truck's got. Those things can climb up 60 degree inclines with boulders on them.

Tim do you have any videos like those Ford ads you see on TV yet?

I had one extra requirement that the cab have enough room in it to put baggage or
packages behind the seats for secure storage if we travel or go out shopping.

The ranger failed on that requirement for 2 reasons:

1. Ranger with super cabs have an artificial premium priced into them because it
seems like everyone wants them. The F150 standard cab has plenty of room without
needing the extended or super cab option.

2. A Ranger with a v6 (especially the 4.0L) get worse mileage than an F150 with the
even bigger 4.2L v6. Seems weird but its true.

So the F150 was a better choice. Also the Ranger is out of production as of last year
so its all for the best anyway.

I plan on being at the Mitty Ray but in the SA. Thats no place for a pickup I have
plenty of high octane brew setting up now.

If I were your neighbor Ray you would have an extra key to the truck.

I think the old Navajo is going to be sold to Pull-a-Part tomorrow. They will give
me $140.00 per 1,000 lbs and that things weighs in at just over 4,000. I just
hope it makes it to the yard under its own power

Yeah, Michelle always loves when I start taking apart a perfectly fine running automobile. She just doesn't get it.

Make sure you take that cup holder out of the SA. Yamomoto'san would have put one in, if we needed one.

That is going to be one fine looking truck Crit, looks like you are shooting for show room quality. I can't wait to see it.

Thanks for the offer of the spare key for your new truck Tim, but I don't think you want to do that.

I might get tempted to take it out and try some of those Ford Tough ads.

Nice looking F150. They do have a lot of space behind the seats. Good choice on the trans .

Anyone know a decent painter that can paint a piece off the car?

For this crowd you'll have to come up with something a little more difficult.

Based on the rust on that amp, the storage bin compartment around it might be harder to identify.

That's not my work Greg. That's how they do things down in Florida.

I bought my first 84 GSL, the light beige one, down in Florida.

The PO had used epoxy to "repair" an engine O ring leak from the outside. It kind of worked. Just like they kind of vote down in Florida.

Ray doesn't "fix" stuff like that. Me, on the other hand, I might try something like that.
