The July meet is 3 weeks away and we already have people saying they're coming, plus a special tease from an out of stater (be good see you Michael).

I am intriqued by this hanging stuff off the back of your RX-7. I don't want The Blue One to feel intimidated next to Donnie's big silver *****. I am going to start looking around the house for something to hang off the back of my car for the July meet. Hmmm... what can I hang of the back of my 7?

Now that's the kind of service you will only find at OGTA.

You know it Ray.

Mike, you just make a mount, and we can have your FB rocking the ***** next to mine.

I got the efan mounted yesterday. Now I just need to buy a temp switch to activate it. Once that is installed the SA will be going out for a test drive. Hope to knock it out this week.

Interesting concepts Holly and Donnie. 'Course I'm way ahead of those guys, my lap top's been rotary powered for the last 7 years.

Can't wait to see those blue ***** on Mike's Blue One! 'Course you know Mitchell won't let him in the driveway with it.

Donnie, just answered your PM but it sounds like you got the fans mounted already.

My question about the wankel generator is how loud is it when its running and does
RB make a muffler for those tiny rotaries?

Mike, I don't think Donnie has your *****, check with Michelle.

Not to mention the rotary exhaust in those little buggers.

But the one in my computer is hydrogen powered and really really tiny, so it doesn't make much noise and other than a little bit of 2 cycle fumes you can hardly notice it.

It's a Mazda design, they call it the 12AAA. It uses ion fluxes to spin a rotor that is connected to an itty bitty generator that powers the computer.

Works something like this except the drive shaft is connected to the generator instead of a propeller:

Glad to see the Flagellum make a come back...

I don't get the idea of rotary engine to generate electricity for an electric car. Why not just run the rotary on hydrogen and be done with it. Mazda has a fleet of RX-8s running like this in Japan. The emissions are water vapor.

With all this talk of blue ***** and mounts we might loose the PG13 rating on the OGTA meet.

I've got 3 weeks to figure out how to put a mount on the 7 to hang some bling off the back. Of course if you don't mind being asymetrical you can hang stuff off the tow hook. We have never had a theme meet before. I propose we make the July meet a theme meet. The theme is hanging bling off the back of you 7. What to you guys think?

Sounds good Mike.

It seems to me that just about everything you can hang from the back bumper of an FB has already been done (although I must say I haven't seen BLUE ***** yet) so this will present a challenge to the imagination. Not sure what I'm bringing yet but it will be good.

Good point, Crit.

This is the memo.

The July OGTA meet theme is: Hang Some Bling Off the Back of Your 7

Sounds good to me MIke, but in order to stay out of trouble at work I'm going for something less pornographic, like maybe some of those big foam dice.

Micahel, don't let the term fool you. The most common piece of bling is an old piston. It looks real good hanging off the back of a 7.

I did that once with a Jeep piston, but it was so big that it touched the ground on any sort of incline/ speed breaker.

Mine does that whenever I back out of a driveway with any kind of hill.

Hello all!

I wonder who even remembers me. I've been gone for a while (the military will do that to a person) but I'm back finally! I'm living on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and I'm thinking about getting myself yet another rotary. I'm willing to give it another go. For those of you who don't know or don't remember, I'm the one who magically killed OG Kevin's red 12A and the GSL-SE and then combined them into one.

Anywho, anyone selling a rotary? I'm patrolling other forums and craigslist, but I'd like to get one from one of the OGTA because I know you guys all know your stuff and keep it in good shape.

Kevin (Formerly known as Quad)

Damn, Quad is back. I remember when you signed up and disappeared, I gotta say you got more foam dice than me Kevin! OGTA dudes, let's get Quad a functioning FB this time, OK?

And while I was searching for a picture of Quad (which I was never able to find, he is a mysterious fellow) I discovered the low point ever reached for an OGTA post:

And here's a candidate for highest moment:

And here's something Collin posted back in '09:
