Naw, I was a Johnny Come Lately Hippie, graduated in 1970. But their ideals made me a drifter, so who can complain?

I figured it would be nice to promote our group on Facebook but always waited for Ray to create a facebook account so he did not feel left out. I see he finally made it to facebook just before everyone moves to Google+

Here is a link to the OGTA facebook page.

So, on you guys' recommendation and example, I asked Cathy if she'd handle my facebook account.

The answer was No. How'd you guys get the ladies to do it?

I can't even figure out how to change my facebook email address or delete some of those scandalous posts my high school friends contributed.

Now, with you OGTA dudes linked in, it's bound to get out of control in a hurry if I can't figure this out.

Found out some things today...

1. 275/25/26 will not fit under the stock fenders LOL. (not actually considering this)

2. Not a fan of the Savanna RX-7 mirrors on a first gen, Maybe it will grow on me.

We can call it Old Four Eyes. Nice to have options. I'd like to see a video of both sets in action, from the driver's perspective, on the track, if possible.

(This is something Stu would do).

When I see crap like this, I just want to find the truck who threw it.

Grrrrr......

I got the FC back on the ground this morning, and so far everything seems to be good. New(er) tranny is smooth, clutch hydraulics are good, new TOB is good, no rattles or anything. I can still hear a very faint 'whirring' from the tranny but it's nothing compared to the rattles that really started coming out last week (the tranny had been making rattles well before this, but not too bad). I'm going to flush it sometime soon and put some nice synthetic gear oil in there, maybe that'll make it silent

One hiccup- the radiator cap must have been put on wrong or not all the way because it decided to come half-way off and spew out a good quart of coolant. Luckily I was 500 feet from an AutoZone. Everything seems to be fine now.

When I was finished with the tranny/ driveshaft stuff, I wanted to start the car and make sure it still went into gear and moved and everything, so I started it up with an open header (no sense in putting the exhaust on if I was going to have to remove it again). The first time I started it I scared myself and turned it back off... thing was LOUD! Made me wonder how I drive the last FC with it's obnoxious exhaust system

Looking good Brett. Pretty car, pretty compressor, major work!

When are you going to paint it? That FC would look great in White.

Thanks, Ray. White FC's are too typical, kind of like those silver FB's...

I'm going to start school next week, so maybe after a few weeks I'll start on the painting. For now, I'm just painting the turbo hood, 89-91 bumpers and mirrors, and rear corner (after it's repaired...). If it turns out okay I might tackle the roof, doors, and fenders, but it will all be the original color for the time being.

I did get this today, though...

White and Silver are the Reference Standards Brett. Think about it. If you can't do White, Silver will do

Well, Tim, let me just say that is total bullshit. Total Bullshit.

I am just one person, but I'll be driving 12As well into the '20's. Maybe even the '30's.

Even if they never make another one, Rotaries Rule.

Oh Ray, meant to pick on you a little bit. That isn't a retread up there, that's a brand new tire. I realize you aren't used to seeing such low profiles on the + wheels .

Yeah, saw that article today. Complete contrast to the article Billy posted about the rotary coming back to the US in like '17. I liked Billy's article better.

Keep that language up and you'll be getting attention from the moderators again

That's the way we talk down here in the city Tim (the Younger), especially about boingers and magazine articles that make about as much sense as a tea party newsletter.

You need get out of the Bible Belt once in awhile there buddy, it's fogging your brain.

Tim (the Elder), that's how they make those low profile tires, out of recycled truck treads.

REMEMBER, WANKEL IS WATCHING!

Happy Birthday Felix!!!

Glad you shared this, I can probably pick up a new set of low profile tires on the way home tonight. They are all over 85.

Am I the only one, or did anyone else think this looks like Ray with a haircut and shave?

He's actually my Great Uncle.

Uncle Wankel, we called him.

I discovered this back in the early '80's, when I was doing some geneology work on the family.

We Green's disinherited him back in '21, when he joined the **** Party.

But in the early 1980's, with the SA in production and the FB all the chatter, he became a pretty cool guy to hang out with again.

Interesting notes: He supported animal rights and he smoked lots of pot.

His Birthday is tomorrow. I'll be celebrating by working on the FB's, of course.
