Old guys with 12As club meeting
Imagine putting a 12A in one of these:

There was a kid a couple years ago over by Commerce, a friend of Paul's, who was going to do just that. He had a white one out in his uncle's back 40, very nice.

You guys enjoying the weather down there? I heard a tornado just hit the atlanta dome or something...
"finding one not all rusted to the ground is difficult."
I was thinking about the girl Michael, not the Opel. But yeah, why not, I'd love to have that car.
Sun's out here, how 'bout you guys? If you get hit by a tornado can I have your 7?

still rainy here. can't seem to fix my wiring issue because of it. i posted about it in the first gen section hoping someone might have some ideas so i don't waist my time looking it the wrong place. but only getting suggestions of what i know it isn't.

Nice looking car but the Saab Sonett was front wheel drive and grossly underpowered at that (they put out from 60-90 hp, depending on the model). Probably a nightmare to convert to a 12A powered RWD and I'm not sure it would handle very well, being engineered for front wheel drive. That looks like Mike in the driver's seat.
An interesting note - both the Opel GT and the Saab Sonett had those cool manually operated headlight lifters, you cranked a handle under the dash to lift them up. And both looked cool but were grossly underpowered.
Michael you know about a bad trailing ignitor or connection will take out your tach, right? I don't think you would get all those other symptoms though. Also make sure your chassis ground underneath the fusible links is in good shape, it can cause a lot of funny electrical stuff.

Sure it would be tough, but do you really want a transverse FWD V-4? It's a total mess, but at least it's a fiberglass body - kinda slick. Very similarly strange to the Opel.
the tornado landed about a mile from my work. i was freaking. they called us and made us lock all of teh customers in the store and make everyone go to the bathrooms. its just flung a bunch of power lines around.
So, we're all still up for the meet this weekend, correct? I plan on 'attempting' to make it, but you never know what'll come up with me
. But yeah, any info on it besides what's already been posted would be cool.Whoops, just noticed the other thread...

On the way home from work tonight my 7 turned 250,000 miles. This is on the original engine and transmission. I am the second owner and I have put 110,000 on the car myself.
There is something to be said for these 12As...

Holy cow, Ray. It looks like someone swapped my cars left to right in the garage. Very cool. Any idea who it is? I'm not digging the RX-2 Sedan, but it looks Australian, and the Coupes are hard to find.
Here's the link, the neighborhood isn't as upscale as yours:

Anybody going on the mountain trip tomorrow?
