Few old cars....

We today we decided to do a full garage clean out so that ment I had to take the Rx2 & the 1st gen off the jack stands and roll them out into the street. This is the first time in over a year Im seeing the entire rx7 and it's about 3years since it last rolled out the garage. The rx3 just got back all the panels from the Media Blaster and my appointment for blasting the chassis has been pused back till the end of the month. The rx3 is very solid and only rust is in the engine bay where the battery leaked acid and ate away that corner, other than that its pretty rust free..
After the 3 is finish painting the Rx2 is going for media, it to is also rust free and very mint.
The 1st gen....... ahhh, thats the Eleanor of the collection.... I don't like talking about her, I get depress

thank for the positive words.... I'll be a happy man if the 4door could look half as sweet as your coupe. These days 20b's don't mean jack, 12a's and 13b's are setting all the records

Dang man, wish I would of known there were some old school rotorheads in the Bronx all those times I went to visit my Abuelita. She finally sold her house in Hollis a few years back and I haven't been back there in a long *** time.

Check this out, maybe you see to see the car around: My godmother used to live in Queens and was the original owner of yellow RX2 coupe. Tripped me out when I was a kid (back in the early 80's) because my Dad had a yellow RX2 coupe 4 speed with white vinyl interior. We were visiting from Cali and she picks us up in her car which looks almost identical but was an automatic and had black vinyl. Thing was clean too! Wonder if one of you or your boys was able to get it 'cause that things been long gone.

BOT: nice collection no doubt man! If I'm ever on the East Coast visiting la familia I'll have to hit you up. Sucks because a bunch of them still work in the city but all moved to Pennsylvania and commute now. My Mom grew up in the Bronx and still got the accent after living in Cali for over 40 years.

Rana I think im falling in love with the rx3, the first gen just don't do it for me anymore but after 12yrs of owning it I don't think I'll ever sell it.. My Rx3 is staying in the US, I have another project for Trinidad once my money tree starts back growing...

Fchoncho:

Vince, the East Coast is where its at.... Cally don't have nothing on us!!! BTW Im in the process of making a set of tubular LCA's for my Rx2, PM me for pics of the progress you'll love it..

Aaron.

It was nice hanging out the other day checking out your old school ride projects. The work from the blaster and the epoxy paint was done top notch... Looks real good up close. Hopefuly I can start my project on the R100 real soon.

Dwayne

Dwayne would you believe that someone reported me to the buildings department and told them that im running a repair shop Bro they're making a big deal about the Rx3 being in the driveway with an expired registration... Dude its under a freeking car cover and you can't see the condition of it, but thats not the fucked up part... The fucked up part is the old man that reported me, lives on the other block (rumsey rd) how fucked up is that.... 3 other people on my block got unregistered cars in their yards and they where shock when i told them what happened... I told the inspector to come look at the property for himself and the man that emailed the complaint to the commissioner is a racist... Yo D, $10k in taxes and these ****** wanna hassle me for a car, thats just BS

The Chassis is being picked up by the blaster guy on the 15th, it should run me about $2000 for just the chassis blast and epoxy... I'll keep you updated on the progress

few more pics of the Rx3.... Driver's side door is dented up pretty bad but will be replaced by the mint SP door I found... You'll also see a pic of the Teacup tail lights, Noltec camber/caster plates & GT side mirrors i got from Australia a few months ago.. The interior is completely striped, and almost ready to go off to the blaster on the 15th.. Suspension will be removed in a few days and the frame will be placed on a body dolly so we can roll it around the shop.. Once it goes to the body shop, I'll start a new thread with the progress... Motor might be a 3rotor PP, not sure yet..
