Ray, if doing my own plumbing is the first sign of getting old, I can live with that. What is the second sign I'm getting old?

Exactly what Billy said. In the U.S. GLC - overseas knows them as 323's! I know of one for sale. Either a 79 or 80 model.

Quad's car or my car? Quad are you doing stuff on Sat too?

EDIT: If it's mine we'd love to have you there, if it's Quad's I'm sure he'll appreciate the help, but I think you're thinking about me, cause I just looked back a few pages and Quad hasn't planned anything for Sat. I really appreciate all the help I can get though, so if you were referring to SPII build at Ray's house, thanks man.

Also Collin, you're talking to the wrong person, Ray didn't say the gray checkered is th ebest interior, Mike is the one who drools over that one.

Yea, it's not me. I'm almost done with mine. Just really do need a 600. Roland, I tip my hat, experience beat math this time. Not really sure why. Ben said he might have a Holley 600 laying around I can use until I can get over to Ray's and sell the 12A with the Holley 465 (assuming you're still interested Ray) so I can afford my own 600.

Anyways, we may have news about the death of the red one. It appears, when we unbolted the Holley to install on Nightmare, that the OMP was not hooked up to anything, meaning it wasn't running. It was sitting in a little hole on the outside of that coolant joint. So I'm thinking maybe the red one should have been pre-mixed, and I don't remember Kevin telling me about that. But a lack of oil in the system would probably cause a busted apex seal...

Nothing we can do now, but at least now we know (I think)

Kevin personally showed me how his OMP was setup. (Karl was asking what he'd have to do if he ran a holley and what he should do with his omp)He had the OMP lines drilled and tapped into the manifold, and he had the little rod that measures throttle position, hard wired into the "full throttle" position, so it would be producing the most ammount of oil the OMP can flow at all times (the rod was snaked up tot he waterpump, and the end bent and fit into an unused bolt hole). So I know it was hooked up when sold to you, and the car not meant to use premix.

Hope this helps, maybe it'll trigger a "oh yeah, now that you mention it, the setup looked like that" kinda thing for you and Ben. If not, maybe it came undone?

Hmm, it didn't seem like it was all the way up. But yea, it was in the waterpump housing. I wonder how I can hold it all the way up on the SE...

Well, nevermind then about knowing what happened...

The lines I'm not worried about. I'm worried about the actual little stick thing that controls the OMP. I have the little nipple setup that Kevin had on there (I was kinda confused as to why the OMP lines ran into the Holley if it didn't do anything), so I can stick the OMP lines from the 13B in there, but I have no idea what to do with the stick...

Look everybody! The EXACT reason I premix my gas even though I have a full factory OMP in use and working properly!

And people wonder why I get so heated when someone tells me it's pointless to premix on an engine with the OMP...

It's a safety net.

yep, Ray's, should prove to be a whole bag of fun. We've gotta move a rear axle w/ suspension, 2 front full strut assemblies, possibly a steering box and components, and an engine with transmission. Oh and seats, the Radio I can move later haha.

So premixing with a working OMP is safe? I'm down, even if it's overkill. Rather be safe than sorry for a third time...

Yep, it's perfectly safe. Why wouldn't it be? 2-Stroke oil is designed to suspend in fuel and be burned...it also contains fun detergents to help keep carbon at bay.

Simply get some TC-3W (Or something like that...) certified 2-stroke oil and depending on the size of your gas tank, add like a quarter or half an ounce per gallon before you pump gas into the tank. Like...generally I can fit around 13.5 gallons on an average fillup into my tank...I only put 4-5oz of 2-stroke in. Basically, it just assists in complete lubrication...gives me peace of mind...and a safety net in case a line were to break off, spring a leak, or if my actuating rod were to come off somehow (Even though it's cotter pinned...so it's basically not possible).

Since Dells are designed to be used in pairs or in groups of 3 for inline 4s or 6s, there is a throttle cable pulley on both sides of the throttle spindle/butterfly assembly, so my OMP is wired up over there.

You can see the rod looped through the end of a spring

Sweet. I'll do it. Don't care about the extra cost, or whatever the hell people like to yell at you for. Keeping my engine in good running order sounds like what the Dr. ordered so I don't go on a killing spree.

Michael, PLEASE post those pictures. I'm very interested to see how you have everything hooked up. Also, those little nipples on the front and rear housing that are almost right under the top part of the intake manifold, what did you do with them? I'm pretty sure I should just block them off, but I just want to double check.

And I don't think the Holley has that double sided throttle deal like the Dellorto...
