Old guys with 12As club meeting
Definitely. It will save you an afternoon down the road. I think the pilot bearing is like 10 bucks and the grease seal is 2 dollars or something.. Crit knows. And the throwout is cheap too if you look online. I'm pretty sure advance quoted me a pretty high price like 45 or 50 bucks so look online first.
I'm good for Sexy Pants II, Phase One, on Saturday or Sunday: Get Sexy Pants here and strip her. Arrange to get her carcass carried off after.
I'll try to have the White One ready for the party.
Maybe it won't rain.

awesome!
let me call Billy real quick.
EDIT: looks like this is happening, gaskets are ordered, pilot, throwout bearing, and grease seal are to be dealt with soon. Billy is delivering the car Sat o9rningm now we just need to work out a time.
I say early is good, a full day of sunlight to get as much done as possible.
Seriousloy, somedya, when I'm back on my feet, I'll pick up the beer tab at an OGTA to thank you all.

pilot bearing? that's what i delt with today. this buddy of mine, bill(ray met him when we picked up the wiper assembly), his 7 was making this squeaking noise and hard to shift. he dropped it off here last sun, but all the rain we've had i wasn't able to get anything done til today. the day he dropped it off and left, i got out and started diagnosing the problem and came to the conclusion it was the pilot bearing. i can explain the hard shift if for those that don't know why it would have anything to do with the pilot bearing if needed. we had planed to get pix up during the wiper incident but forgot all about it once it was all back together, so i got pix of it this time.

So i just got done checking out that silver 85 on craigs list for 1500. The guy lives like a mile from us and doesn't know anything about Rx7's at all but the car has a racing beat manifold with a holley and racing beat headers and pretty nice interior with a straight body. He would definitely go down a good bit on the price. just letting you guys know in case anyone is in the market for a good decently priced 12a car.

Well, due to poor manufacturing by Racing Beat, I was unable to finish the install today.
The throttle extension plate was not drilled wide enough to allow for install onto the Holley, and then the Intake Manifold was also drilled incorrectly, so I had to remove the bolt on the left that there was supposed to be a slot for...
Regardless, I gave the plate to a friend to dremel a bit (it was very close, just needed a bit of widening to be good) along with the manifold to make sure it fit real snug. He is gonna bring it back to me tomorrow morning around 11, and Ben is coming over at that time to help me finish the install.
Hopefully we will just bolt up and get running.
Hopefully....
Also, I have 4 sumotomo tires I ordered (and was on my way to pick up when the SE first died) for sale. Brand new, still at Nextire. They're P205/60R-14 Sumitomo HTR H4's. So they're for an SE, but I'll sell them for $180 if anyone wants them. Let me know. I could use the money soon to afford a possible Holley 600 depending on how tomorrow goes.
And I'm thoroughly peeved with the way the Bears decided to play against the Falcons. I'm a Bears fan through and through, but I HATE Cutler. I wish we never cut Orton...

Yep, it is in Honolulu, that is why he is having a hard time selling it.

Hey Chris, remember too that you're looking for a Logicon for the S3 cars. Ray's car is missing his, and you'll need it to move vents between, floor, defrost, vents, etc. It's not pressing, but it would be a good idea to check the forum and eBay...
Good point Crit, an extra logicon would be very nice to have. I do have one back up that should be working (the original from the Silver One) but it has a light out and I'd like to hold onto it just in case I need a logicon someday. But if Chris can't find one (see ebay, I've been watching them in case one goes for cheap) before it's time for Chris to work on his interior (which could be some time after Thanksgiving, I'm predicting, based on just having built a car myself) then we can use the one from the silver car.
Billy, I don't see what the problem with that RX-3 being located in Honolulu. If you have enough money to buy that thing you surely have enough money to either (A) have it shipped to the states or (B) move to Honolulu.
Sure is pretty though

Good reasons to have an automatic trans in a race car:

Wow!
I take a couple days off to work on the plumbing in my house and you guys burn through 3 pages...
The plumbing work was cool. I had a jacquzzi tub suspened 6 feet in the air while I worked on the leaks. I would have preferred to have a rotary engine on the end of that hoist.
Chris, I can't come this weekend. I'll be out of town. Hopefully, I can make it to sexy pants part deux.
