Old guys with 12As club meeting
Certainly nothing to worry about Chris. It will not explode and come apart on you.
If you do decide to replace it be prepared with a new clutch. If you put your used clutch against a different flywheel it will last 2 weeks, TOPS.
You need to find a flywheel, have it re-surfaced. Get a new clutch and pressure plate before you decide to swap it.

for the starter actually walk off the flywheel and thats what does the damage. Remember this was a race car under pressure! When you have a race
engine you actually puts welds on the gear to the flywheel to insure that from happening.

I also claim Chris has nothing to worry about with that fly wheel. I saw those cracks, nothing more than a bit of patina on the ole 25 year old spin doctor, gives it character. Also gives Chris a reason to keep his foot off the gas and on the brake.

I've heard that too from a knowledgeable person.
So I did something rather stupid today. I bought an RB front strut mount that mounts to the firewall as well, along with a huge RB front sway bar. And when I got home, I realized I didn't make sure it was for an FC, and alas, it's for an FB. And I'm not really wanting to to anything to the FB now, so does anyone want either of those? They're great products, just not what I was expecting... $100 for the front sway without the mounts, and $150 for the strut brace with all hardware, or what I paid- $230 for both... I feel like a dumbass now.

For all these guys with flywheels, are they all GSL-SE?
It has to be an SE flywheel guys, the flywheels have integrated balances for the rotating assembly,s a pre 86 13B will need a pre 86 13B flywheel, not 12A, and not FC.

Not just yet. She needs a little love this weekend if the rain holds off. Don't anybody jinx it, though, by saying anything about Tuesday.
I was waiting to see if I got my first semester's money back before I went to blow money I really couldn't afford to spend. Funny thing is, I was looking at another one that had a engine stabilizer with it too, but I was going to take advantage of the bigger front sway...I'm actually thinking about putting them on the FB while I drive it for a few months since the FC will have insurance for only another week. We'll see... I'd rather flip them and get my money back.
It does... atleast I've got something I could use them on though, that's something to make the mistake less painful. I'll figure something out...
Off to deliver some more pizza's
Sexy Pants II (alias, the White One Two) should be ready for Tuesday, all she needs is some cleaning up, accessory installations and safety checks. Engine, clutch, brakes all check out. The OGTA crew does fantastic work.
Crit what's happening next Tuesday anyway?

I can give it a shot Kevin around 5:00 on Tues, before OGTA. I'm not a specialist with the Holley's and Del Hortos but those carbs are just Nikki wannabe's anyway, right? Still use the venturi principle and squirt gas.

I'll bring a calculator.

IDK what shock bolts are, but if there are some on my old car, and Ray doesn't want them, you're welcome to them Tim.
somebody told my cousin they have the driver's side door and fender trim (black rub strip accross the front fender behind the wheel, the door, and behind the door but in front of the rear wheel). If whoever it was, still has it,I can pick it up for Karl if you'll bring it Tuesday.
