The test is a HIDAscan.. I guess they're injecting me with radioactive contrast fluid and I have to lay still for an hour while they take scans and see how it travels throughout my body.

Based on that, they'll know whether or not to pull my G.B. out.. If it isn't my G.B., though.. I don't even know what the **** it might be..

It's a lot of pain. Thinking back, I suppose it's possible I've had silent stones for several years. I've had the pain under my right shoulder blade for a lonnnng time, and my digestive system has been fucked practically forever as well..

Dunno. Just want the pain gone. For now, I have meds.. which help, and I am SO INCREDIBLY ******* EXCITED that I'll be able to go to work tomorrow and make it through a whole shift pain free, without having to sit down cuz everything flippin' hurts, and not look pale as a ghost because I'm in pain all day. YAY!
As a medic/Nurse and not knowing you that well. The symptoms you are describing are classic GB issues. Once you start having problems with GB stones it will not get better it will continue to get worse. The GB removal procedure is realatively easy ( i know I am not the one having it done ) you will feel like crap for few days then things will get better. The Bottom line you will feel better in the long run. Good luck

Yeah, as of a few hours ago I gotta wait several more weeks just for the HIDAscan... Why? Well, Athens Regional fucked up with my insurance and we have to work that out, PLUS, I now have to have it done at St. Mary's... June 4th is the closest.

That stinks, Collin. You know, I always wanted to be a doctor. I'll gladly practice on your gall bladder, we just got some new kitchen knives and Tara has some germ-x in her car. Beats the hell out of June 1st. Just playing, I hope everything goes alright and you stop having all the doctor visits.

So I've got Jim Albert's son's 2000 Eclipse to do the timing belt, and I'm starting to like it. I drove it down the street and back when I moved it yesterday and it's surprisingly quick. I wasn't stupid in it, but just barely shifting it picks up pretty fast, and I can't stop thinking about fixing the Maxima, selling it, and putting a little cash with that money to try to get one. Not having a sporty 2 door car and having to drive a big, slushy sedan all the time is starting to stink...

Collin: I had the GB thing. I didn't have pain in the shoulder, but did have the rest. I went to the ER as I had the massive pain and couldn't sleep. Spent all night waiting around and having them do tests. I had an elevated white cell count and they did an ultrasound when they thought it might be the GB. They found it was the GB and operated about a day later. I had it done on a Tuesday afternoon and was back at work on Monday (still a little sore). It is a lot better now than it used to be. When my dad has his done, he ended up with a huge scar and was laid up for about 6 weeks.

i haven't had gall stones, but i have also had kidney stones (5 total, 3 last year with 3 surgeries for 2 of the bastards, and one passed by itself.), and they do hurt like a ****, from about the kidneys and lower back down. sounds like a similar pain, just higher up. and if it is, i'm really sorry to hear that.

13Bs ok?

Because I've actually got a question on that. For those that don't remember, I bought the 85 GSL-SE from Crit a while back. Haven't been driving it much recently because of a weak starting system (battery or cables, starter is good). Anyways, replaced the battery cables, and it cranks like a champ.

go to drive it, and it drives ok, but loses power above 5k. Thought this might be the CAT that I had put on it to pass emissions. It was still on there because I hadn't had time to take it back off. So, one day during lunch, went out, ripped the CAT off and put the straight pipe back on, hooked up the pipe to the aux ports, and took it for a drive.

Initially, I'd say that it felt better. Definitely sounded better. took it for a drive, and throttle response seemed much improved. Drove it around for a bit to get the engine all nice and warm, and then tested her out. 1st gear seemed fine, then shifted to 2nd and it hit a wall at 5k. It was literally like it hit a rev limiter. Immediately came off the throttle, just in case, then shifted to 3rd, and it seemed ok at light throttle.

So, any ideas?

Hey guys, Insurance i swilling to give me $3,000 for the car and it'll cost me $365 to buy back the car. I can't refuse that $3000 it sounds too good but Ican't afford to keep a salvage car. It'll have a salvage title and would NOT be street legal. anyone want to buy the car the engine, fuel pump, interior, carburetor, wheels tires, new brakes, and all that for $600 and you tow it yourself?

With the money I get I'll either shop around for another first gen entirely, a second gen, or something else.

fyi, just because a car has a salvage title, doesn't mean it isn't street legal. you just have to fill out some paper work and get it inspected after repairing, but before painting.

Wow! Those are both great deals. For 3K you should be able to get something in pretty
decent shape that runs well. And $600 for that parts car you can make back
easily by selling the carb and engine separately. I'm really amazed the insurance
is paying up something other than blue book or whats left on it. I guess its old
enough they have to est. the value.

So decent 1st gens are worth 3K. Thats good to know.

I fought for the 3K by giving them the mod list and a screen shot of every after-market part from RBs website (to show the price when new) as well as tons of pics of the SP-II build at Ray's house to prove that the frame had a "ground up" restoration in November. My adjuster said all that added about a grand to the value. so document your parts and keep tabs on their value! Yeah, I think this is working out well. I might get a little more money because my nose was injured too.

Oh, and when I say tow it yourself, that car CAN be driven(I have driven to school and back like 6 times), but if you get pulled over, it's not my problem, so $600 buys my car that can be illegally limped back to your house, or legally towed.

Documenting upgrades to the car certainly works, at least if it's not your own insurance company you are dealing with. When my tan 84 GSL was rear ended, I sent a detailed letter to the trucker's insurance company with photos and a record of recent work, arguing that I would need at least $4,000 to replace the car. They gave me that and another $600 to cover a rental car. (That was after their adjuster submitted the blue book value of $2,200).

Chris remember, OGTA is a nonprofit organization. Advertising cars for sale on the OGTA thread could risk our tax exempt status, unless of course OGTA members are eligible for the usual OGTA discount.

I'm not advertising to the thread, I ONLY want it to stay in the OGTA family after all the hard work but with $3,000 at my fingertips, I might not stay FB, so I am giving the hard work that went into sexypants II, back to the community. Billy will have the car, and now the whole club might be able to get parts off him, or he may get into another Old school rotary and the 12A count will go up. I hope that if I move to a non-rotary platform that I am still allowed at OGTA meets. Crit, I have a few things I need to give back to you too. As well as a bunch of spare stuff that I'll either give billy with the purchase of the car, or just give out at the next OGTA meeting. Ray, I feel like I should give you something too, so I may go through some of my parts to find something you'll actually want(I've got 6 spare + wheels and 4 of them have good tires on them).

Chris best thing you could do for me is get another rotary, if not an FB then at least an FC. For $3000 you could find a really nice one that doesn't need work all the time, which I'm sure you would enjoy for a change.

And yeah, even a bimmer would be welcome at OGTA, just won't count for anything.

So now Billy owns the White One. Sounds like another wide body project to me.

We'd like to see that widebody Billy.

A lot of the stuff on the Rock Auto "close out" list have changed, just about everything I got a few weeks ago is not on there now, but they have been replaced by similar products and there's a bunch of other stuff, many from Beck Arney.

What gives?

BA told me a year ago they were obsoleting a bunch of older mazda parts. At one point I had the offer to purchase a pallet.....yes a pallet.... of small bearing FB brake rotors for around $8 per piece. I passed since I knew it would take me a long time to sell off 200+ rotors. Although I could have put my son in the basement with a cordless drill and cornered the market on some "mad tyte yo" USDM drilled rotors
