Quad, shake and bake that 12A for awhile, it might come in handy in a future horse trade. But if it comes down to it, I'll offer $100. I can add it to Ace's other 12A and the 12A from the White One.

Three 12A cores = one 12A rebuild, right?
The carb is totally a Dellorto. http://www.dellorto.co.uk/

As for the 12A, I need the money, I'll definitely sell it to you for $100. You must remember, I'm leaving for the Navy in June, and live in an apartment, so unless I install the 12A in the GSL-SE body, I have no where to store it. But mostly, I need the money. I've spent over $6k on these two cars, and now neither work. I need to somewhat replenish my funds to keep the frankensteined 13B GSL in good running order.

I lived at 315 East New Castle Street in the middle of town. A buddy of mine I played soccer with lived over there, I think he had an f body camero under a tarp in his driveway last I rememeber. Great town to live in and no emissions inspections!

For some reason, this just really irritated me. May explain some of the problems american car companies have, but then again, I think most are like this now.

Was pricing a 2010 Mustang for fun. Was looking at the V8 model. They had an option for a "track pack". Different gears, shocks, sway bars, strut bars, stuff that may make it so it could possibly make it slowly around a corner some day. Continue on. Thinking either silver with black stripe or black with silver stripe would look cool. So I go to pick that and:

"Removal of 'Stripe Removal Package' requires the following change: Deletion of track pack."

So, the stripe is standard, optionally removed. But if I want a performance package, I can't have the stripe, I have to have it removed. Why are these 2 even related? Wouldn't it make more sense for a "performance car" to have the old school stripe?

Just venting.

I'm sorry Tim, but I don't follow. I get to the '95 FD Montego Blue base part of your post, and smoke comes out of my ears. Hey, you going to the game this weekend?

Well, I'd love to show you guys photos of what I've been doing today, but they're on my iPhone and the problem with that is it's not allowing me to email photos right now (DAMNIT!) and I'm too lazy to go downstairs and get my datacable.

Anyways, even though it's raining, I removed everything in my way to get to the waterpump housing (Which wasn't much to stat with) and then broke loose the housing bolts and OMP banjo fittings. I don't think I cracked any of them, but it was such a tense moment each time I'd gently pull on my gear wrench to free them. I did realize something, though. Even if I *DO* break the ones on Wanda...I've got spares on my other motor. lol Pain in the *** and more work, but if they do break, no biggie. I slept much better after remembering that last night.

Another perk of swapping the housings is that the lower radiator hose nipple thing...is in PERFECT condition on the one coming off my spare motor.. Where as the one currently on Wanda is so pitted and worn away with HOLES in it that the lower radiator hose has a hard time sealing against it... The downside? Well, this waterpump housing isn't nearly as pretty as Wanda's

I figured now would be a great time to pop on my dual belt pulley...only to discover I don't have the right size socket or wrench. I tried an adjustable for kicks, but that didn't work either.

Yep...that's my update..

Tim the way American car companies weave their option packages together, or apart, has always defied logic to me also. I'd love to talk to whoever does this to get some idea of WTF they are thinking.

I have a cool update too!

Not really, I just got the new harness in, but haven't clipped it up to the ECU or anything inside the car, and the battery is totally dead. Seeing as I have to be at work from 4.30 this afternoon until 4.30ish AM tomorrow morning, I'll deal with it tomorrow. Seeing as the new manifold is coming tomorrow though...

Who knows? I guess I'll see how I feel tomorrow when the time comes.

Damn, why is stuff so expensive? lol Just went to autozone to get more coolant concentrate, gasket sealant, a new jar of anti-seize (never buy the tubes, they suck), and some nifty graphite lubricant for my door locks cuz they stick and crap and it was on sale for $1.00.. Oh yeah, also got engine degreaser to clean up the 'new' waterpump housing cuz it's FUGLY!

Any suggestions?

Alright, Crit, I don't really want to know how you came to find that anti-seize burns that particular appendage... I'm gonna assume it's the same way most people find that fiberglassing and then making a pit stop don't go well together.

I wanted Hylomar, but they didn't have any!

There, I updated my signature. You know I'm lazy. That's a lot of effort. Gotta click on User CP, go through all that crap. Too much work.

No, not going to the game. I'll be across the street though, with an open bar. May try to meet up with everyone later.

I think its kinda crazy how they do things too. But Roush, Saleen etc have these packages and unfortunately you cannot take out what you want from a package. What I would do is price the different gears, shocks, sway bars, strut bars etc and see the price difference. You may come out better buying the car and then purchasing what you want. I love mustangs (91 coupe - 96 Cobra). I rather buy my parts and install them than letting the dealer touch any of my stuff. My 2 cents.

i'm with roland. the suspension parts would probably be cheaper bought urself than what the dealer would charge for them.

So, this guy I'm seeing is gonna be coming to the next OGTA meet. It's gonna be awesome! He's already into RX-7s, but we MUST band together and firmly convert him from his path of GM destruction!

Easier thing to do would be aftermarket stripes . Track pack was $1500. Doubt you could do that stuff for that much cash. And that was factory option, not dealer installed (wouldn't trust them either).

Car is probably too big for me though.

The thought process is just messed up though.

You may possibly be able to match that price but think about it you would be able to pick and choose what parts you wanted. Then you could get me to install them and I would beat anyones price on installs. If the 2010 is too big for you and you want a mustang I think you would be extremely happy with a fox body mustang 1989-1993 coupe or hatchback. If you need any suggestion don't hesitate to ask my opinion. I have alot of experience with 1989-2004 Mustang V8's. There are certain things you would need to look for with these mustangs when looking to buy. Below are a few fox bodies to give you an idea.
