it doesn't run because the harness was yanked out along with the dash.

it has a better wiring harness in the car ( in a box) and i just need some way to get it slapped together. i downloaded the wiring diagram online, but i need to vacuum diagram and everything.

it had the rats nest already removed and whatnot, so yah. i dont even know.

I absolutely refuse to believe that Billy will show up to an OGTA meeting in a rotary for only the second time in his entire life. Old school or otherwise.

Sweet. Flight leaves at 7:30AM. I'll get the ticket changed to your name.

Anyone know anyone who needs a FD strut bar, front sway bar, some used Yokohoma A048 tires (195/50/16), or an Audi short shifter? I need to clean stuff out.

If we can just keep you and the Rolands out of their boingers, and keep Jeremy in the RX-2, Old-Skool will be takin' over fo sho!

It'll also drive Ray's count up, as Jeremy will get 6x the FD point value in the RX-2.

Anyone with an FC better show up. The YGTBs must not be defeated!

Oh snap, on a side note I got really pissed at Wanda today. Was changing the lower rad hose and went to bleed the system afterwards and it wouldn't bleed. Come to find out there was some crud clogging most of my bleeder on the rad, so, I cleaned that off and did it again. Seems to run just as same as before I changed the leaking hose, so I'm gonna just guess I need a new t-stat to solve my overcooling problem. :-\ It could be worse...I could have overheating problems like everyone else!

Fortuantely I'm only there for about 9 hours, plus the 4 hour delay in the airport on the way home that evening.

Your FC is cleaner than his, but his FC is like 3 times as fast. TII swap, standalone ECU, and chemical inter cooling.

So you guys are saying we're going to have an Old School Day at Jeffery's tomorrow evening? Sounds interesting.

A note on the Silver One: I tweaked that manual steering box again, added another 1/8 of a turn and WOW, what a difference, steering is completely restored to sports car quality. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive, going on 3000 miles since I put her on the road a month ago. Could be another White One.

Colin you are crazy.

Tim the hard part is getting the large lock nut lose, it's thin with a large diameter and hard to get a wrench on, it looks like this:

Size: 251.4 KB

I tried various recommended methods but none worked, until finally out of desperation I tried a small pipe wrench, which worked perfectly. Get one that is just big enough to get on the nut and carefully engage it, once that pipe wrench bites it won't let lose and you can get the needed torque on the lock nut.

Once the nut is lose you use a large nail punch or probe and a hammer to rotate that inner do hicky thing clockwise a little bit, checking the steering wheel play as you go. It doesn't take much, I turned it 1/8th of a turn on my first try, which took out most but not all the play. I put another 1/8th turn on it yesterday and that found the sweet spot, very nice steering response now. But don't go too tight, it will wear out your worm gear.

Ray, could you bring the steering box tweaking kit with you and help some of us out tomorrow? I'm sure we could use it. I don't have the big socket needed.

Bringing some non-rotary friends to the meet tomorrow to expose them to our awesomeness. I hope it's ok, I've already made sure that no idiotic driving or anything retarded is going to happen. also gonna make em park with the other boingers of course.

That sounds like a good idea Chris. Boingers is boingers.

Wouldn't it be sacrilege to out post the XRoads dudes? I mean, they are the guys who started it all.
