probably not ray. this is what u run into with these cars. some ppl think they've got some kind of old muscle car from the 60s. not saying it isn't valuable considering the condition, i just don't think it's worth THAT much. maybe only to some really diehard rotary collector. bet u couldn't insure it for that.

Well damn. I'll just keep the S and sell the SE. Sounds good to me. I'm going to get the SE at Mazcare today. I just gotta find a place to park it.

They are just getting few and far between. What is your budget, if you do not mind me asking. Would you consider an 808?

yeah an 808 would be fine, so long as it's no later than 75. has to have the 4 headlights. that's what i had. as for my budget, i'm just doing good to keep bills paid. i won't have any extra money til tax time. that's why i say compared to me, everyone's rich. i could run across one right now for $100 and i couldn't get it. doesn't matter how cheap i find one, by the time i could come up with the money, someone else would have bought it.

Soooo this happened:

I might type up the whole story later but to summarize it someone slammed on their brakes on a slippery concrete not-really-pavement highway ramp facing downhill on wide tires with a good traction friendly heavy truck that has ABS and I locked up my wheels, slid down the hill and hit them.

I'm completely fine, my neck hurts a tad but I think it's from stressing out over this rather than the actual accident. Luckily the motor and everything else sits so far back I had a nice length of sheetmetal cushion, and all of the hardware that isn't the radiator should be fine.

Yeah, you read my mind. I'm going to be shopping around for either another shell to put my parts in, or a whole 'nother Rx-7 I can drive while I sell all my valuable parts. I would appreciate it if you looked at the body for me, and give me a price and description and such.

could also be from the quick forward and back motion from the sudden stop in the impact. u think u'll be looking for a replacement to swap parts into?

edit: never mind. those posts got in before me.

Well the Australian's, New Zealander's & the Puerto Ricans - sure think they are worth that much. 7 years ago we got $5k for a nice R100 - It has been sold twice since then. When it left the states was the first time $11k and when it arrived in Puerto Rico 15k. This being 7 years ago - could you imagine what it would go for today!
The fact of that matter is unfortunately - All R100, RX2, RX3 etc are not cheap anymore!
Actually you can insure it through - Hagerty Insurance.

I thought of you because - it has no engine and you could just drop yours right in. I can tell you it is white/burgandy. I think it as an 83 or 84 but I will not know for sure till tomorrow afternoon when I go check it out. I will let you know. I will get you pics also!

i do understand the high prices it's just that i have a much different view of what's "reasonable" compared to others.

In the process of all this dealing, if a believed good 13B core were to come free, I might be interested.

Yeah, yeah, I know if I go 13B it creates carb, intake, exhaust, oil cooler issues, and maybe some others. But that might be fun.

Well if I buy a GSLE-SE you're welcome to buy my 13B stuff(13B, carb, intake, oil cooler (crappy beehive), and exhaust) and help pay off the SE, but right now I'm still leaning towards using my stuff in another 12A car.

Quad, if that SE continues to frustrate you to the point of selling it, how much were you thinking of asking for it? I could try to make your problems my problem.
