You're right Brett, they do look good. Don't pay any attention to Ray. He may be our spiritual OGTA leader, but he takes a while to warm up to whole back porting scene. It took me years to get him to go to the 2GDFI. Give him a little time. He will end up with the ReSpeed CAI set up and 2nd gen strut covers.

See you guys tonight.

I didn't say they didn't look good, I said they don't look Old School. I'm still trying to decide if CAI counts for Old School, kind of a cool mod but you've got to lose your snorkel, one of the most distinguishing feature of SA/FB's.

Since we are talking Old School, we've got to include this beast, the old re-speed mule:

Ahh, yes. The ReSpeed Mule. I'm still stoned from the last time I drove behind that car - over a year ago.

They're especially helpful if you're using Illuminas, as the stock front strut caps will no longer fit (the adjustable collar jumps up through the strut mount). Of course, I think they just look better, to boot

I wanna throw this idea out there to all you OGTA, just to see what you all think.

My current plan for the SE and GSL are to strip the fuel injection out of the SE, and replace it with the Holley set up from the GSL (with the new manifold of course) and then to somehow acquire an old Nikki for the GSL and stick it in there to sell a partially running GSL. The rear seal is still either stuck/ broken, but GA Michael said he had a guy who was selling a whole motor sans dizzy for $100. So I'd buy that, swap that one in there, and sell the GSL.

As for the fuel injection set up, I'll probably sell the left over parts...

Comments? Concerns? Free parts for the swap?

You'll have to be more specific, which Kevin? There are 4 of us and 1 isn't in the state anymore. LOL!

Ray, thank you SOOOO much for letting me drive your 1st gen! I had a blast. It was good to see familiar faces and some new ones. Can't wait til next month.

As far as the pictures I took, I'm currently uploading them to my computer. Once I'm done with Facebook I'll try to upload them here. I got 31 shots.

10-6-9 OGTA Meeting

12A Count:

1 RX-3 = 2 12A’s (Billy)
1 REPU = 2 12A’s (Crit)
3 SA’s = 4.5 12A’s (Roland, Cory, Andy)
8 FB’s = 8 12A’s (Mike, Greg the Elder, Greg the Younger, Karl, Chris, Gene, Geraldo, Ray)
2 FC’s = 1 12A (Zach, Collin)
1 RX-8 = 0.125 12A’s (Kevin)

Total 12A’s = 17.625

Not bad for a cloudy dark October evening.

Billy finally shows up in a rotary, a nice 3 with an excellent engine bay which I managed not do get a picture of. Could somebody post this up?

Mr. Roland's very pretty SA comes out of storage for the last 20 years:

The pictures came out great Ray! Seeing a picture of mine makes me want to continue with my plans to mod it instead of another car. It'll be a miracle if I ever make up my mind.

I'm having issues uploading mine to the forum. I have them on Facebook if anyone wants to look me up, otherwise I'll just try again tomorrow.

You all have some nice and unique 7s. I thoroughly enjoy being around you all.

And another thing. Mike, Chris and Crit, I want you to take a good look at this picture and notice that Roland DOES NOT have any of those tacky 2nd gen strut tower covers on his SA. I repeat, DOES NOT HAVE THEM!

The good thing about having 4 Kevin's is that at least one of them is bound to show up for a meet. That 8 does have a nice color to it.

Also, I have to share this with ya'll. This just came in from my Canadian buddy Damien:

Ray how about some club T-shirts? Dad just called me and told me it would be cool to have an OGTA t shirt - maybe with an RX3 and an SA or FB on it! Just a thought.
