Jeremy, does your RX-2 have enough miles on it now that you'd trust it to make the trip?

 

It ripped the plastic mounts on the bottom of the bumper completely off where the screws went in, so it's kind of good that there were only 2 in there or it would have fucked my bumper up good. I looked at it today and it's totally repairable. I think I'll leave it off until I get bigger wheels because it scrubs everywhere though...

I hope some new person thinking about coming to an OGTA meet doesn't pop up on here at this moment... They'll be scared that we're are a bunch of old perv's

Billy I know our 12A count is much higher than the X-Roads boys, but don't tell them, it will hurt their feelings. Zoomfest was an official OGTA meet, as are the weekend get togethers with OSJC and meets like the one out at Crit's lake house and the one we are having at Mike's this summer. But these are special WEEKEND meets, not official 1ST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH OGTA meets.

Is the Mitty really coming up in just a few weeks? We should make a splash there. Should be warm enough by then to keep Billy's genitals in good shape.

Now Brett, OGTA is a highly respected group of mature and intelligent gentlemen who meticulously maintain their vintage RX-7's in stock form. Hahahaha. I'm sitting alone with noone else home and I laughed out loud at that...

So for the last 4 hours I:

-Fixed my oil pressure gauge so it reads an accurate ~70 pounds around 3K rpms.
-Rigged my ignition light switch that was taped to the dash to a different switch mounted on the arm rest that looks clean.
-Wired up the fog lights to a switch, just need to find a good power source that comes on when the ignition is turned on.
-Vacuumed the WHOLE car and wiped down the front half of the interior with a cleaning armor-all wipe, now just need to go over with a shiny one.
-Checked out my lip, and it's not as bad as I was thinking. Still needs some bondo love though.

What a profreakinductive Friday...

Well Crap............Went out to play with the rx3 today and the carb is puking fuel.......I hate carbs.....

I put a Holley on it a month ago and got it running. Converted to direct fire. Drove it around the block. Ran fine.

Why can I not keep a running carb on this thing

You just need to drive it more Billy, these things will work themselves out. Gotta keep those gaskets wet. Bring it on down to the next OGTA meeting, that'll help.

I like carbs, but they can be a pain in the ***. There are plenty of ways to go EFI without too much work. Hell, they even put it on some FBs, if you look hard enough (in Duluth).

Yup and I can hold on to it until Michael gets a chance to pick it up. Might even give it a go on the White One, see what the hype is all about.

 

Just got back from a mountain drive up in Helen. Holy crap that was a blast, even with the unpleasantness to start it off. New respect for that car too, the Ferrari guys pulled over to let us past.....

But yes, we should do those more often .
