And if not, JB weld and duct tape does wonders.

On that note, I could use the thin 14mm nut that holds the heater and fan ***** into the center cluster of the S3 cars. I've got my center cluster finally working, but that nut ran away.

This isn't for the OGTA meet but how much do you want to let go of the sub frame in the vert for Brett? I'd need the sub frame w/ hubs & brakes, the steering rack, and possibly the front McPhearsons (the write-up for the sub-frame conversion online is a bit hazy about suspension).

$50 ok? I don't have a lot of money right now.

We just got back from Home Depot, we got a nice ceiling fan/light for the dining room. I've dropped almost $3,000 at HD in the last week, they do some good business, even when times are tough.

So there doesn't seem to be much interest in the 1st Annual OGTA Car Show, probably because I need to fire the guy in charge of publicity. But I need to find something to do with these trophies, how about if we have the Show during an upcoming weekend event, like Crit's Lake House Bash or a joint OSJC/OGTA get together? We could even do it during ZoomFest, although that might bring some stiff competion.

I'll look for that 14 mm nut Crit and the mirror bolt Mike, I might have them in the parts shed. Better hold on to that poster Brett, Cathy might not recognize its true value.

I'm holding the 4 hubs and wheels for a guy right now and I could really use the money... I'll let you know if he doesn't get them though. If he does, would you still want the rack and subframe?

Not this time Mr. C, this one is going to require a little more incubation and planning. But the good news is I can get that Young Wankler trophy fixed.

Here's a photo of one of the trophies, we just need some blonds in bathing suits (not you, Mr. C) to help out with the awards ceremony:

I've got a problem with my automatic transmission and may not be able to make tonights meeting. After a hard acceleration, like getting on a highway ramp, the car stays n third gear and will not shift into overdrive. At sixty miles per hour I'm pushing 4,500 rpm. If I pull over and stop the problem seems to go away.

It's got plenty of transmission fluid.

Anybody got any suggestions as to what could cause this?

What is he paying you Brett? I might be able to match it. I could even give you a check tonight, but you'd have to promise to wait a few days to cash/deposit it for my money to go through on Thursday.

Don't accelerate too hard;
Don't get on the highway ramp;
Keep it high revving;
Pull over and stop at Jeffrey's Sports Bar tonight!!!

SEE YOU THERE!!!

P.S. Swap to a manual tranny before next meet.

Greg, it may be as simple as the kickdown linkage. Can you induce a shift by lifting totally off the throttle? Are you sure the shift linkage is putting the tranny in D when you select it?

I'm always looking for new ways to promote the club Tim.

Well Greg, you know I like to see a few stock autos left on the road, so I'm not going with that knee jerk response - swap it out for a standard. But I have a peddle set if you need it.

And yeah, where's the Mitty pics anyway? Did it get rained out?

He's a buddy, and I'd feel bad dropping him off of it since he's been wanting it for a while but I'd never sell. If he falls through though, I'll let you know. But I'll still have all the other stuff besides the hubs/ brakes...

And are we getting there at a different time now since it's lighter out? I guess I'll leave soon and clean off the car and get there around 6:30... good?
