So what's the clutch look like Dave, I appreciate you grabbing that for me. The job hunt has been suckie suckie. So money is pretty tight right now. I decided to give Stu's car some love today. Stu has been helping me so much here lately, so I figured I owed him. He picked a new goodie for his ride, so I told him to bring it up and we would install it. After that we fixed a few things and I wanted to take his car for a test drive. I think he shat himself. I think he'll have some pics and video for you guys.

i don't think it did, i don't remember it having it, but gosh i wish my memory wasn't so lame sometimes, lol. i'm almost sure it doesn't have louvers on it. it was in very nice condition from what i saw, i didn't pop the hood on it, the guy said it had 2k miles on the engine, and he WAS asking 4500 for it, i thought it was a bit too high, but idk, i'm broke anyways so it didn't matter lol. just putting the word out there for others.

I'll take the speed muffler. I need one for the FB. I fabbed a budget exhaust and want to change it already...and i haven't even left the driveway

I went off on that car. I tried to be gentle but time was scarce so i went for it. Got the engine out in a 1 1/2 between last night and today. Waited for workers for about 3 hours total
I got it for $140 (with my SCCA and Miata club discounts, WOOT). Right now (since I forgot it at Sam's) it is completely intact minus the over the axle part, and that is about an inch to an inch and a half of piping before you get to the muffler. Lookin to sell it for $50, but I can cut you at $35 . I'll clean it up and shine it before I post any pictures...

EDIT: It even has mazdaspeed laser engraved on the side. Pimp that ride yo!

THE CRACK IN MY DASH IS GETTING BIGGER.

I am kinda/sorta freaking out over it. I mean, I knew it would happen, but it is an original dash, no caps, no nothing on it. I know I cant complain about it seeing how it is 26 years old, but still... is so beautiful. I ArmorAll it ever since I got it (since it says it helps against it) but it still happened.

Reminds me of my grandmothers camery. Its a 1990, just broke 100k, and it is MINT. Toyota or not, when she goes I get it. Has a carpet kinda dash protector, and OMG it is flawless underneath.

Anyone have any options besides a dash cap? JB weld that b!tch up? I saw a RHD dash FS a little while ago, but I would need everything with it

that looks like the Weber manifold that was made by Skip Gorman of "Lake City Rotary" (one of the early weber kits available for the 1st gen RX7's)-Webers are 45DCOE I had one of these kits on my '79 when it was new

Talking

Goin old skool with my waffle wheel refurb. Teaser pic below. There will be a write up about how I did this next week.

Now I just need to find some NOS RWL tires in 185/70R13 to put on em. Closest I can get is the Coopers Kory has on his ride. I'd like to get bfgoodrich radial t/a or bridgestones, since those were the factory tires.

Has anyone ever tried Coker(sp) tire? They make all kinds of wierd discontinued tires. From muscle cars to model T/A's etc..

I'll look if I remember. Thought I would throw the name out there.

Just looked. They don't have them listed in 13's but they have RWL BFG's. So maybe if we call or send enough email requests they will get the mold from BFG and make them. There is a big market I would think for all the retro guys

Hey Stu, If you bring the old muffler to the meet I'll grab it then

Yeah, already hit them up with emails and such. No such luck. Rx7s are tweeners in the classic car market right now. Not late model and not classic yet. In 5 or 10 years I'm sure they'll bring them out. Plus if its coker it cost 4x whatevr it was back in the day.

Cool deal Robbie. If you need a fuel pump, I still have the stocker that came off my FB. If you need that Nikki taken care of, I can help you out with that too. Just let me know. If you get a chance, I still need to get those Holley jets. I decided to put the RB intake and Holley back on today. Man what a differance! The half-bridge is digging the Holley I just need to fine tune her, and she is rocking!
