Hey with the way my week went so far im just breaking even. this week sucked, had a tree fall at the house on my birthday on tuesday and had to come home and cut it. then wednessday i was making something for amy and thought i had my finger out of the way but the 1 5/8 brad nail hit a knot and veered right into my index finger about 3/8 deep. Then yesterday ended up stuck at work and almost missed getting to the bank, thank you to all the law enforcement not on 77 yesterday afternoon.

So with all of that im breaking even now. Hey i plan to be at the meet but if not you guys should come by and see her

and is anybody going to the thing in statesville tomorrow, its at that icecream shop on 21 just south of I40 at the Wal-Mart exit????

 

I might swing by tomorrow if you have nothing planned, maybe we can hit up that statesville ice cream place. I have a vague idea of where it is at, been there once before.

 

I'm heading over to Raleigh for the NC Rotaries meet if anyone wants to go. I'll be there for an hour or two and then I have to head over to some relatives house for a soiree. I'll be staying over the night and heading back Sunday am. Plan on leaving Huntersville between 3 and 3:30 p.m.

 

I'll pass..... lol

I think it is at an ice cream shop. I also believe it is a general gathering of car freaks. Everything from muscle to us. I think it is in stateville on sat evening. Not sure of any more than that.

Its almost near/at statesville, just off an exit from 77. A car club gathers there, be it inports, muscle, or just the local scene. Last time I was there they had a few ricers, some trucks and a few old school muscle.

Hey Sam, I will bring the clutch and pressure plate tp the meet. We/you can decide if you want to use it. Whenever you want to pick up the trans is cool with me. I don't need you to pay me first. I trust you Justlet me know and I can pull the pass seat out of the FC and swing it bye. Or you can come to my 7 heaven and grab it.

I am tearing into the engine tomorrow if I can find time.Detailed pics will acompany.

Shutter valve already removed. Block off plates. Ported. Very nice addition to your first gen! Just give me a call and we can talk.

 

So Josh calls me. Ask to come use the shop. Says he picked up a nice aluminum flywheel for super cheap. I say "Sure. Come on up and we'll swap that thing out." I was thinking he probably snagged a nice Racing Beat. Boy was I wrong. I couldn't believe he found this jem for what he paid for it. If you guys are ready for this, I'll let the pics speak for them self





On a side note. I tried to steal it at least 3 times before we got it installed......... Sorry Josh. It's just so damn sexy!!!!!!!!!!

I should be at the meet tonight. We may just bring the FD or we may roll the FC out as well to make our numbers look more substantial.

Sam, The intake sounds like it may be a good trade, help me remove all the other emissions crap(rat's nest) and maybe wire up the 2GDFI.

Just tore down the n/a engine... All in all it is in great shape The rotors look like they will be perfect once i get the carbon off. The side plates have very little grooveing. Some is worse than others but I can flat plate them and they will be resurfaced(at work) The rotor housings are the only questionable pieces. They show signs of chatter as well as having some pretty decent grooves from the end piece and other end of the apex seals. I might reuse them, not sure. I will bring them to a meet for group inspection/decision making

LOTS of sludge in the oil pan. As well in the coolant passages. All the oil control rings fell out when i pulled the engine apart.Pics will come soon. batteries went dead. Need to grab more for the meets.
